I was admitted to Day Surgery for a hysteroscopy under General Anaesthetic and I can honestly say I have never been so frightened but the way I was looked after by the staff was amazing this is truly a very special hospital and I'm eternally grateful for their professionalism and kindness.

Went for Day Surgery 30th January Comfortable waiting lounge and efficient friendly check in. Called through on time at 7.30 Very professional service from start to finish from team of Doctors and Nurses Kindness and consideration shown helped so much throughout surgical procedure and aftermath when I was recovering from anaesthetic. Cannot imagine better service anywhere

Thank you to the Consultant, the Anaesthetists, Recovery Team and all the staff on De La Mare Ward for their kindness, care and dedication in making my stay very happy following my knee surgery.

Was referred by my local GP, said someone would be in contact . Three months later still no contact , made a phone call and was told someone would make contact but still no contact. Would be nice if a date was set even if it was next year. Sorry I've had to this but it will be interesting to see if anyone cares.

Fantastic Hospital, I Had an operation in day surgery where I received the most caring treatment imaginable from all staff. I was checked on by nurses making sure I was okay at all times and the discharge nurse explained everything to me in great detail. The whole experience could not have been better from reception to discharge. I would like to thank everyone at this Fantastic Hospital

Excellent work by all the team on the ward & all personnel in surgery. Very clean at all times and even the food was of a good quality.

Feeling anxious initially, I soon settled in on de la mare ward, and found staffing at every level on de la mare, and around the hospital helpful, and kind. A big thank you also to the anaesthetist, and surgical team.

I visited this hospital today as a daycare patient on becket ward the attention to detail was so re assuring I can only say that the team were amazing and made the whole experience very comfortable 10/10 from me

After receiving nasty deep scratches from a stranger’s Alsatian dog in the street I called 111. I had a quick and thorough response and was offered an appointment at the urgent care hub only 40 minutes later. I arrived early and was seen early by a Nurse who combined super-professionalism with a friendly, reassuring approach. I was 100% satisfied with my treatment which was quick but in no way hasty. I have to add that, like some other reviewers’ comments on the admin side, I was underwhelmed by the person on reception who instead of making proper eye contact and saying, “Just one moment, please”, ignored me till they were ready. It wasn’t long, but gave the wrong impression and risked undermining my approach to the clinical care.

After being kept waiting almost an hour late for my appointment, doctor barely acknowledged my existence. Not friendly or reassuring at all; in fact I found him to be rather rude, my appointment lasted just over 5mins, I had to ask him to explain my scan results; - I was extremely scared and anxious when I went in and left feeling pretty much the same; this doctor had no compassion for what I’m going through and made zero effort to put me at ease.
