Review titled Poor Service
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 06 May 2025
My visit was on April 7th, I was promised a letter with a referral to a physio, medication that could be prescribed by my GP and full instructions on what further action I could take. Despite several phone calls this has not arrived. I was told on the 22nd April that the letter had been typed and was waiting for the consultant to sign it - two weeks later I still haven't received it. I feel disappointed and let down.

Review titled Very poor after care
Rated 1 star out of 5

The Sunderland Royal was 100% better at after care compared to Spire Washington. To say they do not listen to what a patient is saying is an understatement, they are practically calling you a liar. I paid almost £16,000 pounds of my hard earned cash for a hip replacement and felt like I was treated less than a stray cat. Please do not waste money going to this hospital. I am still after 4 months not walking as well as I think I should but they get rid of you as soon as they can. I would never recommend them and would try to discourage other people from using them. My experience is a never to be repeated one. Their catering has a lot to be desired for if I had been there any longer I would not have ever needed to be on a diet.

Review titled Fantastic
Rated 5 stars out of 5

To anyone considering Spire Hospital, I would highly recommend it. In September 2024, I had my first consultation regarding knee instability and pain following an injury at a fitness class. He arranged an MRI scan, which revealed an ACL tear that required surgery. I then booked a consultation, with the surgeon, who immediately put me at ease, and we scheduled the surgery. Although I was nervous and anxious on the day of the surgery, the friendly staff and nurses made me feel comfortable in a lovely private room. The surgeon personally checked on me before and after the procedure, keeping me informed every step of the way. Since then, I’ve had excellent follow-up care, maintaining the same high standard throughout.
