    I had keyhole surgery to repair two inguinal hernias. At all stages of my treatment, and in all departments, I was treated with skill, consideration, and where necessary, humour. The staff in all departments went out of their way to make me comfortable. I was booked in as a day case, but owing to some routine discomfort, was gladly offered an overnight stay, which I gratefully accepted.

    I went privately to Shirley Hospital, I received and invoice and paid promptly, as I was leaving the country. Prior to my leaving I received an email informing me that I needed to pay for my service. I informed them that I had paid. After many emails etc., to many people I have received an email telling me that not only do you get charged for the service, but also the same amount to the hospital which makes me wonder how they came to the same cost? I believe I have been double charged but they are hiding behind the same fee for the hospital! I was with the consultant for approximately 15 minutes.

    During April I was lucky enough to have my Left Hip replaced in this very Comfortable Hospital, I found from my initial diagnostic examination, the operation to my current Physio that everyone involved was kind and considerate. I will always recommend this hospital to my family and friends. Thank you AFM

    Hospital lost my blood sample and cancelled the procedure whislt I was at the hospital and preparing as instructed stated they didn't have an anithsetist available. It appeared hospital gave me incorrect information about fasting as well. Procedure has been delayed again. Found it difficult to get hold of admissions it involved lots of chasing and checking on my part, which is not respectful and clear for patients.
