Knocked over by car police had to take me to A&E due to a delay with the ambulance and complete first aid. Just awful don’t blame staff. No staff, hospital was filthy. I have blood cancer, I was stitched up on a bed with no cover and staff from other departments covering. I feel I should have seen a plastic surgeon and had a mri scan etc. Left with no aids or discharge letter, no water offered or pain relief had to ask. People had wet themselves and wheelchair not cleaned, other patients use them, no staff to help to use toilet, no idea of medical background, had to tell them. Very disjointed service, don’t blame staff, patients and staff put at risk. I’m articulate and had someone with me, I was discharged without letters or walking frame as unable to walk.

everyone was very kind and caring that I came into contact with. compassion and kindness was shown throughout my stay on b1. and i will thoroughly recommend this hospital for anyone needing treatment. I would like to give special mention to the urology team and day case unit and all the nursing team who cared for me and performed my procedure for the kindness and care shown. I am very grateful. My mom was looked after by ambulance crew on good friday, she was x-rayed then admitted and operated on easter saturday to mend a broken hip. Mom was well looked after, cared for and treated by all staff on ward b2 hip suite until smooth referral and discharge to a nursing home for continuing therapy and rehabilitation. Thank you so much russells hall staff

I had to stay over 2 nights in triage due to possible early labour, the midwife’s and nurses provided an amazing service and I can’t thank them enough for the hard work they endure on a daily basis. Every need was met and I was never left unseen if I needed something. Keep up the amazing work team!

Review titled The duty of care my son received was beyond fantastic

My 6-month-old was admitted with breathing difficulties. Although he is not my first child, I was very worried about his wellbeing and what was wrong with him. Once admitted to the paediatric ward, all I can say is thank you. Every member of the team seemed to go out of their way to try and put me at ease. The duty of care my son received was beyond fantastic and the fact that the staff seemed to make a point of coming into our room just to have a chat with me and see if they could do anything to help, including looking after my son for an hour so I could get some sleep, was just brilliant. I hope we never have to come back, but if we do, I know we're in fantastic hands. Thank you

Efficiently organised, good communication from booking team, cheerful endoscopy team, cordial and explained everything. Nurses porters CSW all very helpful and excellent team members

I was admitted to RHH for my second operation to remove my ureteric stone and bladder stone. I would like to thank the Day Surgery Unit for looking after me before and after the operation. To the anaesthetist, ODP and theatre practitioners, thank you for making me feel comfortable and safe before and during the operation. A very big thank you to the Surgeon who performed the operation on me successfully and without complications. Thank you Russells Hall Hospital for saving my life!

I just wanted to thank all the staff by Room 7 on the b2 trauma ward who, despite me having a non-serious injury in comparison to others, were very diligent, kind and willing to help. Your job is thankless sometimes so just wanted to share some kindness. Thank you for all you do and continue to do in very difficult circumstances.

All staff I had contact with were kind,caring and informative and updated me regularly. The department was busy but appeared to be running calmly and efficiently. I do feel there may be a need for one or two more ultrasounds in the department.
