Review titled Excellent Nursing care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 11 January 2025
My mother was recently in hospital over the Christmas period following a Fractured NoF. The care on Ewhurst ward was excellent and the whole team made sure that my mum was treated with dignity and kindness. Two of the health care assistants were especially kind taking my mum to another ward to visit her best friend who was also in over Christmas. Christmas Day was also celebrated in the best way possible for everyone who was unable to go home. Thank you.

Review titled Passionate and caring staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Ian Penny - Posted on 04 December 2024
As soon as I arrived in A+E the staff were so caring you don’t expect that a receptionist to get a wheelchair for you within 15 minutes I saw three members of staff soon after I was in A+E ward the staff are so caring and helpful then the doctors ordered X-ray scan bloods to be taken I now they where so busy but the service that they gave me was brilliant even when the nursing staff was busy the doctors help out by checking on other patients as soon as my results came they provided my results even one of the top consultants came with four doctors and told me what is going to happen that put me at ease , then I was taken to the hospital ward as soon as I arrived the staff were outstanding friendly kind helpful and understanding staff I even ask some of the patients what it is like on the ward they said It’s great , soon after I experienced all the staff being kind helpful and understanding towards their patients even down to the cleaning staff saying good morning and smiling, I must say I have been to a few private hospitals before , but from the minute that I crawled in to A+E in so much pain, I was not expecting this kind of service from the NHS staff they are passionate caring understanding people they need to be respected for what they do for our community and our country, I would like to thank you all for all the hard work and your dedication and kindness that you showed to all of the patients on my ward as well as to my family and myself

Review titled Great service from a physiotherapist
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Leigh Taylor - Posted on 30 December 2024
I just wanted to say thank you to Rob (physio) who has been fantastic treating me for my fractured and sprained ankles over the last 3 months. He was very professional and gave great advice, but was also kind and encouraging. I had private physio last year for a similar problem and that wasn't a patch on the care Rob provided - so thank you Rob keep up the great work!

Review titled World class A&E
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Simon Carr - Posted on 23 December 2024
I cannot comment more highly on the outstanding care, attention, diagnosis and treatment I received yesterday (Saturday 22 Dec) at Royal Surrey Hospital accident and emergency. From reception, the triage team to doctor diagnosis and consultant review - a superb job. A seamless, efficient, focused process. We have lived in the United States for many years and my visit and treatment yesterday at Royal Surrey Hospital was on a par if not better than our United States experience. It is clear that the hospital management, the clinical staff at all levels from orderlies to consultants are absolutely focused on world class patient care. I arrived in agony and left within 4 hours having received a diagnosis, medication and focused guidance for me to follow. It is very difficult to put into words but for us we sense that everyone working at Royal Surrey Hospital appears to have a smile and is totally focused on providing the best possible advice or outcome. My wife and I are truly blessed and draw immense comfort knowing that you "truly care" A huge thank at a time of crisis for me.

Review titled Successful Results
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Maureen - Posted on 24 January 2025
I was referred to the Sleep clinic and was somewhat skeptical about whether it would make any difference. It certainly has. The programme is easy to follow with each step being very clearly explained by a caring professional person who certainly gave me much encouragement and understanding. It has helped me actually understand about sleep patterns and expectations and I am most certainly sleeping better, arising on a morning feeling more ready to face the day than I have in a very long time. My sincere thanks go to the "Sleep" department and I would certainly their services. mw

Review titled Amazing experience with the Insomnia Service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Katie D - Posted on 19 March 2025
After struggling with sleep issues for years, I raised my concerns with my GP, who referred me to the Insomnia Service - and I’m so grateful they did! The Occupational Therapist specialising in sleep was absolutely amazing. She was incredibly patient, supportive, and reassuring throughout the process. Her encouragement made such a difference, and the resources provided were both informative and practical. The program was interactive, requiring effort on my part, but it was so worth it. I went from struggling to fall asleep and feeling groggy in the mornings to having a steady bedtime routine and waking up refreshed, something I haven’t experienced in years! I highly recommend this service to anyone struggling with sleep. It truly made a life-changing difference for me!

Review titled Excellent treatment
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by John Eades - Posted on 28 January 2025
The revision of my prosthetic ankle with two supporting procedures was done with great skill and the result has exceeded my expectations. The excellent communications from the surgical team, their post-operative attention and the care and friendliness of the nurses and the support staff ensured my swift recovery. I have been treated at the RSH on several occasions over the past 6 years and have always been impressed by the quality of the care I have received.

Review titled Amazing staff

I arrived at the royal Surrey at 12.30 midday I walked in there was about 40 patients sat in the waiting area, I was checked in by a lovely girl on the desk who had empathy I sat on the floor in the waiting area as no chairs but I was offered a chair in actual fact was more comfy on the floor due to pain I was in quarter to one was seen by triage 1 o clock was seen again and advised bloods would be taken it stated wait time was between 2-3 hours the point of this is that the members of staff were amazing they did not stop they were running hear there and every where to see to patients they are only human and were doing amazing I actually had an episode in a and e and they got me on a trolley I was put in the corridor where I was looked after with pain meds does it matter that I was in a corridor no as I was being well looked after they can only do what they can do and they were doing everything they could was there a long wait time yes due to the amount of patients they had every member of staff had a smile and dealt with patients with empathy even though they were rushed of there feet credit to the royal Surrey and all members of staff I did witness quite a few people that could have waited for doctors rather than a and e or a walk in centre not once did any member of staff turn any one away and dealt with every one in a brilliant manner but it’s clear that this takes up staff time unnecessarily, I would like to thank every one who dealt with my care and made me feel better if I could give a 10 star I would they are doing amazing from start to finish every member of staff under pressure dealt with people care on a high level
