  1. Review titled Thank you for everything

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Gemma Milne - Posted on 09 October 2024

I just want to send a review to the liver and gastro ward (milbridge) who I have had the pleasure of being cared for at after coming out of intensive care The whole team are incredible, so caring and attentive to each individual patient. While I was there, two different patients were causing a lot of trouble by being aggressive, hostile and overly demanding to the nurses, HCA's, food people, tea ladies and doctors. I watched them put up with so much disrespect and abuse just for trying to help people. It saddened me greatly as everyone was rushed off there feet and doing their absolute best. Every member of staff was amazing and attentive I just want to make sure everyone knows that they are appreciated Even though some patients can make them feel worthless. I can't thank every member of the teams that I got to meet enough. You are all fantastic and I hope every member of staff knows that they are so good at their jobs and to appreciate the little things because I can promise you I am so grateful to everything that was done for me. I just wish all patients could see how hard you all work and how fantastic everyone is. So once again I thank everyone who looked after me right up until discharge today.

  2. Review titled Personal and professional skills

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 31 October 2024

I called 111 when unable to walk properly. It was advised that an ambulance had been called. I thought this utterly unnecessary. However the paramedics attending (i cannot name) with excellent interpersonal skills advised the same. It transpired i had a minor fracture and chipped bone after x ray. The service all round at rhs that day was excellent from nurses from the consultants and a particular shout out to the paramedics that attended. Thanks you all very much, i am very grateful to you all.

  4. Review titled Insomnia

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 03 January 2025

Was given an introduction and videos explaining the symptons and causes of insomnia which were very informative and put over in easy to understand way. Then moved on to keeping a sleep diary for 2 weeks before seeing further videos showing advice and instructions of how to improve your sleep patterns. These proved sucesfull with subsequent diary's showing an improvement. throughout the programme had telephone appointments with the course provider who was very good at accessing progress and giving further tips. I found the provided videos very good and managed to add some humor to the subject both in the videos and during her phone calls. I found the whole course interesting and worthwhile and would highly recomend to others suffering from insomnia and helped without the need for any prescriptive drugs.

  5. Review titled Failure to provide assistance

Rated 1 star out of 5

by JOSE FRAILE - Posted on 02 October 2024

Failure to provide assistance My daughter is studying her first year in neighbouring Farnham at Uni of Creative Arts. Yesterday, 1st October, she went to the hospital with plaques in her throat, fever and discomfort that made her barely able to move. She is 19 years old. She has a student visa for the United Kingdom. She applied for a GP that same day and she still hadn't been assigned one when she went to the hospital. The process takes 5 days. As a non-British citizen we have had to pay social security for the next three years to cover any eventual medical care needs. A girl with little experience goes to Guilford hospital by taxi from Farnham making an effort and the person at reception did not allow her to be seen, she was not attended at all, her case was simply to give her a prescription for antibiotics for her tonsilitis. The person at the front desk decided not to attend her and forced her to return home without a prescription. A disaster that we have solved thanks to a doctor friend who lives in the UK and who had to drive three hours to Farnham last night. We think this is a complete lack of attention. Where is the code of ethics? Very bad on your part. I would feel ashamed if this happened in my country.

  6. Review titled Excellent staff and Practices

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Gary Mertz - Posted on 13 October 2024

Enthusiastic and dedicated staff who are constantly under pressure and busy, nothing too much trouble for those receiving treatment. Very friendly also. They won’t have been aware that my treatment only slows my eventual demise but they made going through Chemo a far easier experience. Well done to all staff on the chemo wards, which also includes those on the front desk reception, whose understanding, friendliness and guidance also made first visits much easier. I am very grateful

  7. Review titled Wonderful care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Vicki Revie - Posted on 01 October 2024

My husband had a fall this morning and was attended by 2 lovely paramedics who took him to your accident and emergency dept. Each member of staff who looked after us, reception, nursing assistants, nurses, doctors, porters and pharmacy were polite, kind and professional even though the department was very busy. I work in health care and am aware how challenging the environment is currently. The whole team was a credit to the health service , I could not speak more highly of how they all conducted themselves, communication was clear and we were seen by each member of the team fairly promptly given the current constraints on the service. Thank you for your service, from the Revie’s.

  8. Review titled Brilliant service from start to finish!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Emily Keeley - Posted on 31 October 2024

My 6 year old son was sent to A&E with suspected appendicitis which resulted in him having his appendix removed. The staff in a&e, the gastro consultant and team and all of the staff on hascombe ward and in theatres were all absolutely brilliant with him. He was so scared about having his first operation but they went above and beyond to reassure him and look after him. They even brought him a PlayStation to his bedside so he could feel more at home. He is now home and recovering well. Thank you so much to all of the staff involved.

  9. Review titled Wonderful care from Paediatric ED and ENT

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Bev Mealing - Posted on 16 October 2024

We only ever hear negative news about our emrgency departments/ NHS but I want to highlight this is often due to unreasonable patient expectations. The team on duty at 9am on 13/10/24 were absolutely amazing. We were triaged quickly and my son given his own bed. The senior sister and her team made sure my son was comfortable (keeping on top of his pain), referred us to ENT quickly and we were seen by ENT within hours. We received a high standard of care, the department was spotless and I am so grateful for all those hard working Doctors/ nurses/ HCA's. Keep up the fantastic work!
