Just want to say a big thank you to all that helped me there when I had a bad kidney stone infection. Everyone was brilliant but particular big thank you to the kind lady from Heysham who used to live in Grange over Sands. Overall 100% couldn't have asked for more

  3. Review titled Awful!

Rated 3 stars out of 5

One of my family members came to A and E and it took them 9 hours to get her into a ward. They gave her 1 dose of pain relief within that time when she was in extreme pain and discomfort. Non of the nurses available helped as she asked a nurse for more anti sickness as she was throwing up a lot and they ignored her blatantly. I get that the nursed are all hard worked but it was a joke, expecially when we was there since 9 in the morning. Another incident was when my family member accessed the toilet and i asked a nurse to come help her politely, they said no and insisted they wasn’t going to come help. One lovely nurse came by and gave her the support she needed after 10 minutes of her waiting in the toilet by herself unattended. Id like to say thank you for that nurse and if i had a name i would disclose it as praise. I think the rest of it is an absolute joke and they didn’t take her infections she didn’t know about seriously.

I had to visit A&E with a wound for which a sticking plaster would not do and want to thank the team there for dealing with me so quickly and efficiently, especially to the friendly, kind and excellent Dr who stitched me up with minimum fuss and maximum skill. I am very grateful to you and wanted to say thank you for the fantastic job you do.

  9. Review titled Fantastic

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Mark Andrew Cornthwaite - Posted on 26 June 2023

I was admitted to ward 37 early hours on Sunday morning after being treated in Casualty. From the very first day on the unit I was amazed at how friendly all the staff were, nothing was to much trouble for them. All the staff, from the nurses to the general staff like the cleaners were all very friendly. Every Doctor I saw was the same, they each did there best to help me. Then there is the food, all I can say about that is wow, they go that extra mile to make sure the food you get is of high quality and again, not request is too small, if there is something not to your liking, just tell them and it is sorted. I have spent a lot of time in the RLI, and I can say with all honesty, this hospital ward outshined during my time there this time. I would give them 100 out of 100. Thank you everyone at Ward 37, I've never ever felt bad to have to leave my time with the staff was fantastic, thank you. Mac...
