Review titled Excellent service and care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Ian Kynaston - Posted on 11 May 2025
I brought my mother in suffering from extreme pain and discomfort from her hip. From the very start at the triage stage, through her time in A and E until her moving to Ward 25 she had excellent care and attention from the dedicated NHS staff who looked after her.

Review titled Excellent service and dedicated staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5

My father was taken in by ambulance paramedics to the Older Persons Service Clinic via A&E and I have nothing but praise for every member of staff. Dad was so confused with concussion and in a bit of a state to be honest but everyone treated him with kindness, patience, respect and attentive care and in the calm environment of the ODP SDEC. Just the simple comforts like tea and biscuits, a kind word... and a laugh, totally settled him until he was assessed ready to go home. We cannot thank you enough!

Review titled Disappointing
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Rosemary Crockford - Posted on 28 May 2025
I arrived for my knee appointment on Thursday 15 may to be told the clinic had been cancelled. I had no explanation but more than that no apology or sympathy or explanation as to why I hadn’t been notified. Just a simple ‘ sorry you’ve had a wasted journey’ would have sufficed. Simple manners really. Now after numerous messages from me to rebook I’m told I must now wait till next year. Standing in front of that desk I felt I was of no consequence!

Review titled Excellent treatment

I took my Granddaughter to A&E this week as she had an accident whilst on a school trip. First visit was to A&E where we seen to straight away, and treated with kindness and respect, and we were then asked to go to minor injuries, where we were treated with the same kindness and respect !! I really can't thank everyone enough for their treatment of us. Luckily it wasn't too bad an injury but we were still treated as if it were. Thank you all at Bournemouth Hospital.

Review titled Disabled Parking outside Accident Department
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 23 March 2025
I attended the Accident Department with my husband am Sunday 23 March who needed to be seen, who has a Blue Badge. The Parking spaces were full and occupied with many cars that Were Not displaying Blue Badges. My husband who is nearly 80 had to hobble in on his own and the later on had to attend For an XRay on his own as I could not find a parking space, otherwise I would have been able to push him in a chair. It was not until I had been there a nearly an hour that a space became available for me to park. This space was vacated by a car that had not been displaying a Blue Badge. Surely the park should be regulated or have a big sign to say about Disabled parking. This morning was very frustrating for both of us, as I could not assist my husband as movement is very difficult for him.

Review titled Caring, Kind and Quick
Rated 5 stars out of 5

Really impressed with my experience of UTC and A&E minors and x-ray, thank you. Right from the receptionist who booked me in, the many staff members and roles I came into contact with treated me with kindness, care and good humour, and in a very short time I had been assessed, x-rayed, given effective pain-relief, had manipulation of fracture, plaster cast, re-x-rayed (chauffeured in wheelchair to and from x-ray by staff), shown x-rays, given sling and sent home. Thank you all.

Really impressed with how quickly the staff treated me for a DVT. Had 2 days worth of tests and scans and the staff kept me up to date throughout. Really friendly and reassuring when you can feel quite anxious. They all clearly really care for everyone and couldn't fault anyone. Top job!

My dad was rushed into hospital via ambulance which came in under 5 mins!! The paramedics were attentive and stayed with him the whole time whilst waiting. Then the doctors saw him and was diagnosed very quickly. Would just like to thank everybody involved for a first class service can't fault it.
