  1. Review titled Life changing

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I recently had spinal decompression surgery and throughout the time of my visit to the hospital I was treated to the utmost care and attention. I was made aware of what was happening at all times, and although I was very nervous about the operation, I shouldn't have been. I can't begin to express my gratitude to all concerned who have given me a new start following year's of back pain. My family who were with me were also treated with kindness and support during what was for them a very traumatic experience. We cannot thank you all enough for your patience and professional care, before, during and after my surgery, you are all wonderful people. The NHS has a lot to be proud of I think.

Went to a&e as I had an injured finger with a wedding ring stuck on my finger as it was so swollen got sent to minor injuries which I was happy about I was assed within 10 minuets even though minor injuries was very busy where they cut my ring off as gently as they could and was sent for an X-ray which again only waited about 10 minuets 15 minuets later I get called in again to find out I had a fractured finger. The nurse was very caring and listened to me when I said how much pain I’m in very friendly and calmed me down very good service

My husband was brought in by ambulance and was treated with so much care and respect by the staff. A special mention to the staff that treated him inA19 nothing was too much trouble for them to do.

  4. Review titled Extremely Dely on services

Rated 1 star out of 5

I had a very disappointing experience at this facility. I waited for over 12 hours in total, provided a urine test around 2 o’clock, and by 7 o’clock, I still hadn’t received a call from a doctor. The delay and lack of communication were incredibly frustrating. As a pregnant patient experiencing significant discomfort, I expected more attentive care and timely response. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling neglected and unsupported. It seems that patient care is not a priority here, and improvements are definitely needed.

  5. Review titled Treated with utmost respect and dignity

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Gynaecology- Had an amazing team of doctors and nurses for hysteroscopy and biopsies. Was anxious after reading many horror stories online and having had poor treatment in hospital prior. The all female team were so patient, my consultant keen to go through everything with me thoroughly before signing consent. I felt incredibly well cared for and despite so many people in the room- I felt I had as much dignity as one can have in that position. All my options of anaesthesia were discussed with me, including other options relating to my treatment and case. I had a little issue after the procedure feeling unwell and was looked after so kindly in recovery also being given blankets, tea and biscuits and nurse checking in on me regularly. Absolute gold standard of care and I’m incredibly impressed and grateful. My confidence in the trust has been restored from more difficult experiences thanks to this department.

  7. Review titled Excellent Service .

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Josephine Wall - Posted on 31 December 2024

Whilst visiting Family in the area my wife tripped on the stairs and ended up with facial injuries and bruising , we took her to minor injuries at Bracknell, who were quick and efficient and diagnosed a possible nose fracture and strongly advised a trip to A&E as it could possibly be serious. Although very busy A&E took good care of my wife, she was triaged and admited to Hurley Ward where she was well looked after and dishcharged after three days.On returning to our home a week later we also recieved a telephone check on her condition . My wife and I would like to thank All who were involved in her stay whilst in the care of Royal Berkshire Hospital Trust .It was excellent service considering the time of year and the strain all Hospitals are under . Thank you again and a Happy New Year to all Staff.

  8. Review titled Consistent and great care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Redlands Elective Orthopedic Unit: right partial knee replacement in April 2024 and left partial knee replacement in December 2024. All aspects of care and support were consistent, excellent and thorough over the two admissions. There are so many to acknowledge and thank: Consultant, Surgical, Anaesthetic and Theatre teams, Physiotherapist and Pharmacist, Nurses and Health Care Assistants, Admin and Radiology, Porters, the sweet catering and cleaning staff who were always obliging. All this care for a stranger.

  9. Review titled Stunned

by Anonymous - Posted on 19 December 2024

I asked for a hearing check and said my hearing aid also wasn't working. I got an appt for a repair! The aid is apparently known for this fault but if it happens often I need to go back. It's a newish hearing aid? I didn't get a clear answer on the hearing check other than it's now 3 to 5 yes and I have to go back to the GP instead. I thought things must have changed. Was given the aid back. Not checked not wiped and I left. After a few minutes I realised it wasn't working. Tried to turn it off and on again and had to take it out because I couldn't do it. I got it open tried to close it and it was jammed. I couldn't do anything so I went back. I waited in the waiting room and the person came and asked for the aid and told me to sit there. She came out handed it to me and then proceeded to advise in the waiting room with everyone listening and watching. It was embarrassing. She told me not to open the device for 48 hours and then went down to 24 hours. The battery was new it would last 2 to 3 days but they don't so then I was told I could open it enough to turn it off. The problem is I then had to state my medical history in the waiting room to explain I couldn't have something that's a problem to open and close. She didn't seem to care how public this was and just kept grinning as she did from the start. I'm now wondering if I open it up when the battery runs out is it going to fall apart? It was a horrendous experience and from start to finish I felt as if this was beneath her and and I'm wasting her time. I am a person not some some public side show. Do better!...and pray I don't get her again.
