Review titled Excellent care given
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Sara Venables - Posted on 26 April 2024
We were referred to the children’s outpatients next to ward 1 by dr muogbo for an examination and bloods for my daughter who had history of itp and coeliac disease as she had presented with a rash under her arms. Our gp wanted her to have bloods taken the same or next day but we were unable to book an appointment for several weeks for her due to her ago (age 10). I called and spoke to the medical secretary who was so understanding and was able to arrange for dr muagbo to call us back. I explained the issue to him and he said we could visit the hospital for her to be examined and have bloods taken. The staff next to ward 1 were fantastic, and so friendly, and we were able to get answers on our concerns and re assurance that everything was ok. We wanted to thank everyone involved who helped us to be seen the same day. You’re all amazing.

number I was given....over and over again. No reply. I tried many many times on Saturday. At 8 am on the Monday I began the many attempts to get through. No reply. I even tried again on Tuesday and Wednesday to apologise for not attending. No reply. Is an answerphone too much to hope for?

My 91 year old husband had a fall and had broken several ribs and punctured his lung. All the staff were really kind and caring. I can't fault the care and dedication provided at Queens, Burton. We are really and truly satisfied and grateful to all those who looked after my Husband. Many thanks.

Review titled Great A&E care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Tony Worton - Posted on 22 March 2024
Just a note to say how much I appreciate the care given to me at A&E this week. I went in feeling anxious and worried and came out reassured and relieved. The service I received in the department was excellent, especially from the staff in Triage and the doctor in the cubicle afterwards was first rate, that you so much.

Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Janet Stone - Posted on 13 February 2024
It was necessary for me to receive treatment recently from the ENT team , I would like to say what a marvellous team they are . All of them were so kind and caring , from my initial appointment at the clinic through to my operation I was treated with the greatest of care and respect . The theatre staff, the clinical staff and the nursing staff were outstanding and I will never be able to thank them enough for the way they looked after me . Once again I am most grateful for such wonderful kind thoughtful people who work in our NHS .

I would like to thank everyone who looked after me on ward 6 CCU over the past week. The staff are the most lovely, friendly people and I feel very grateful to have been in their care when I really wasn't feeling well at all. They deserve all the credit they get.

Review titled Amazing empathy and genuine care in A&E for my daughter
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Heidi - Posted on 18 January 2024
It's easy to complain, and so I wanted to make the effort to thank the nurses and doctor we saw today in A&E who looked after my daughter with chest pain. He was incredibly thorough, ruling out problems with her kidney and with her chest and took the time to ensure she was comfortable whilst giving blood. There was hardly any delay, from being referred by the GP and 111, to being seen - and once the doctor looked after my daughter she was in very capable hands indeed. Bloods, urine and X-ray all done and we are very very grateful for the kindness and empathy shown. Our NHS is so crucial, and when supported properly by the government, shining examples like today show what a shining light it is and how lucky we are to have it. Thank you Queen's hospital A&E at Burton. Outstanding.

I had to attend Cardio Respiratory to be fitted with 7 day heart rate monitor. I was seen promptly and the Nurse who dealt with me was lovely. Caring and very reassuring, I was told any problems ring the direct number I was given. Brilliant service. Thank you to Cardio respiratory team
