  1. Review titled Excellent

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I went at 10am and left at 6 pm. A long time that is for sure. But I must weigh this against the care I received from nurses, doctor and porters. I had so many tests I began to think the doctor wanted to keep me as long as possible! I have to say the treatment X-rays and so that he ordered left me feeling that I had a full mot. Although I was there a long time something seemed to happen every hour or so to break the time. Doctor even apologised for me having to be there so long. So when I left I felt that I had been treated exceptionally well by everybody and the doctor made me feel confident in his diagnosis. So people although you may be visiting for a while please don’t complain when you leave and you have been sorted out.

  2. Review titled Terrible service

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I was waiting for 5 hours straight in complete agony with my knee and every time I asked for a rough estimate of the time I was told I don’t know constantly. The staff don’t even know what is going on in their ward and don’t know what patients need seeing there is never any staff on the wards themselves. Every time I come to this hospital it’s the same the staff just don’t get anything done and have people sitting around for hours on end I even heard them talking about transferring money and what they were doing after work etc it’s not necessary what’s necessary is that you take care of your patients and get the work done that is meant to be done. Stuff needs to improve asap because it’s not just me sitting around it’s also elderly people who are in no state to sit on your hard uncomfortable chairs for hours on end. Within the 5 hours of me being here all that has happened is they took my blood pressure and even then they couldn’t do that properly.

  3. Review titled Excellent Care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Taken to A&E by emergency ambulance after a nasty fall out of bed at home. All staff very friendly, reassuring, caring and professional. After assessing me and checking bloods etc, the doctor arranged a ct scan for my head and neck and also very effective pain relief. After they got the results, they let me know all was well and After arranging some short term pain medication for home, I was discharged and returned home. All the staff were pleasant, polite, caring, professional and very very patient. They made the effort to listen and I believe they truly cared about my situation. Couldn't ask for better care or service.

  5. Review titled Excellent Phlebotomist

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Jemima - Posted on 11 May 2023

I went for a blood test today but due to my condition, I don't have very good veins and it is often very difficult to find one or get enough blood from one. I have often been poked with needles in my hands, wrists and arms dozens of times and this can make me feel faint and nauseous when it goes on too long! I told my phlebotomist this and she was so patient and understanding and made sure to find a vein before trying. I appreciated it so much and she was so considerate and made the experience very positive for me!

  6. Review titled Fantastic Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was referred on the Tuesday and seen on the Friday. A big thank you to the consultant and all staff in the urology department. The procedure lasted a lot longer than I expected, due to a persistent bleed in my bladder that I had for several days prior. The team persevered and eventually stopped it. I can’t thank them enough for how I was treated and kept informed throughout. I certainly wasn’t expecting to be seen and treated so quickly. Absolutely an amazing outstanding experience with the Queen Elizabeth. Thank you again.
