  1. Review titled Unsympathetic, unsupportable team

Rated 3 stars out of 5

Had to have a scan and hysteroscopy due to post menopausal bleeding. None of the team from nurses to doctors were supportive or sympathetic. One of the procedures I found painful and yet not one of the staff gave me any encouragement. Other procedures I've had nurses have talked to me in a friendly way or held my hand to distract me. These nurses were uncaring and seemed almost rude. The people performing the scan were offhand, abrupt and unhelpful. They barely spoke to me and when I got upset seemed to ignore me. As if they wanted to get rid of me as soon as possible. Considering I may have cancer I felt this to be completely heartless and soul destroying. I appreciate they are run off their feet but one of two kind words go a long way. I now have to have further investigation and am dreading it.

  2. Review titled Great

I had laparoscopy in Princess Anne hospital two days ago. After my operation I transferred to Bramshaw ward. All nurses and sisters were amazing and caring. I can’t thank them enough for looking after me and other patients. They are absolutely wonderful and professional.

  3. Review titled Saddened by the miserable sonographer

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 01 June 2023

Had a scan a couple of Thursdays ago, at 20 weeks and 5 days for my second baby. What was meant to be a lovely experience due to covid and my partner not being able to attend scans for my first baby, was not the experience we were looking for after the grumpy and very miserable sonographer. She called me in, walked about 4 foot in front and told me to lie down. Barely said a word through the whole scan. Now thankfully my baby is all ok, but it makes me sad to think that if anything had been wrong, I wouldn’t like to think how she would have broken the news. All my other scans the sonographer have been talkative, chatty, supportive but this was a different story. I thought maybe I was over looking it until my friend had a scan the following week with the same sonographer and said the exact same thing!
