I gave birth with my first baby here and I am so happy I choose this hospital. Everyone is 100% doing their job great. I feel safe all through out the process and everyone is very helpful and supportive. Thank you is not enough for the health workers. God bless you all in Maternity Services.

  2. Review titled Excellent care

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I was seen by rw advanced Practitioner in the Urgent Care centre. She was highly professional and receptive to my knee problem. She demonstrated high level of competence and took my blood and referred me to orthopaedic for further assessment and treatment. She took me to a waiting area after her consultation and offered me a cup of tea and biscuit whilst I wait for my blood result. She wished me good luck and I thought this was very person centred. Despite the busy department nurse rw took her time and I felt she deserves a recognition and great work she is doing.

  3. Review titled Excellent care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Excellent care received after being admitted via A and E with sepsis. All staff and nurses who looked after me were very caring, understanding and very efficient. They all took time to explain what they were doing and why. This was despite the fact that they were all very busy in one way or another. Another surprising thing was the quality of the meals provided; they were excellent in both taste and quantity. Although this was an experience I would not wish to repeat, it was ameliorated by the quality of service that I received for my stay in the hospital.

  4. Review titled Lovely staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had an outpatient appointment at cardiac investigations and all the staff I had contact with were so lovely. The receptionist was really nice and welcoming; the nurse who took my readings was so lovely and caring and the consultant was really lovely and took time to listen and explained everything clearly. I would just like to thank them for being so nice and caring and wanted to say what a wonderful experience I had.

  5. Review titled Terrible treatment

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Suffering worst pain all day I was send to A&E in the evening and on assessment and later on consultation I was told I need x-ray when I got there woman told me (more like shouted ) it’s not justified go back doctor will explain …, no privacy nothing she just shouted from the door to me and when I got back doctor somehow couldn’t understand why I’m upset about this, so maybe he should have chose different job not treating people with pain! He said he will refer me to GP to do my x-ray so I should just suffer in pain or take codein tablets. In the end he said I was abusive but no I am human being in pain him and this system is abusive when you wait all day in unbearable pain to be seen just to say go to GP because it’s no injury (by the way, unless he himself has got x-ray in his eyes he couldn’t have know! This is horrible treatment and I wouldn’t really care but I’m still in pain after waiting all day for nothing and this is our ‘great’ NHS

  6. Review titled Excellent treatment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had an asthma attack and couldn’t get in to see my gp. Called 111 and within half an hour I had a call back from a clinician who booked me an appointment at the urgent treatment centre. I was seen in no time by a lovely doctor who got me into treatment, organised an xray and collected my take home medication with a smile on the face - nothing was too much trouble. Excellent care and service from the Urgent Treatment Centre at PCH - thank you.

I have had to be monitored by CT scan over a period of 18months I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes to be seen. Staff really friendly and efficient. All follow up scans on time and I could even choose times. Prompt results. Great service, much appreciated.

  9. Review titled Excellent treatment from beginning to end

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Gavin Rowe - Posted on 30 December 2023

Very impressed with the speed of arrival of the ambulance and treatment by the crew, in home testing and transfer to accident and emergency. More tests at accident and emergency, all done pleasantly, prior to escalation. Moved to corridor care (no 6) where sister, nurses and all staff very attentive. Impressed with doctor and his diagnosis. He was also very receptive of some additional phone advice from a palliative care consultant. When discharged in the early hours, my catheter was immediately removed and the reception staff rang my wife to say where I would be waiting for her. One small complaint: there was no way that I was going to get any sleep in that corridor! Overall extremely impressed with all staff working under extreme pressure.

  10. Review titled Fantastic Staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Carl Stoppard - Posted on 07 December 2023

Attended the day treatment unit for a tricep/elbow operation. I was very nervous due to never having surgery or general anesthetic before. All staff who I encountered were absolutely amazing and can't thank them enough. The anesthetist was very reassuring and put me at ease. The staff even helped me dress after the operation. Thank you.
