Having been diagnosed with a lumbar disc problem requiring surgery, I have nothing but the highest of praises for the Orthopaedics and Spine Specialist Hospital to which I was referred. From my initial consultation (when I was given a date for a decompression operation), through my pre-admission assessment, the excellent surgical and nursing teams and indeed all involved with my care, I was afforded the utmost of kindness and compassion. Upon my discharge following an overnight stay in an individual room with en-suite facilities, I was provided with pre-arranged dates for the home removal of my sutures by a community nurse and a follow-up consultation with the Consultant Surgeon. It is also fitting to note that one week after returning home, I received a telephone call from a senior ward nurse to enquire of my progress. Without doubt, this is an excellent hospital that is more than worthy of my 5-star rating.

This hospital sets the standards for all hospitals, efficient competent team with a great Team Leader. After my operation there was no pain, no soreness and regular follow ups by phone for months after the procedure.

I had 2 days in this hospital for a new hip ,the care and attention from my consultant and staff were absolutely excellent from start to finish.

Had difficulty with back pain and mobilising and was referred to see a back specialist for diagnosis. After consultation an operation for a decompression was advised. From the entry into the hospital to the exit I was met with efficiency, friendliness and support. Each and every member of staff conversed with me, and made sure I was made to feel settled into the environment. Everyone introduced themselves, and explained their roles. The room was warm and comfortable. The call bell was always on hand and was instantly answered. All the planned procedures were completed as advised, and I came away feeling very lucky to have been referred to such a efficient hospital. I will always be grateful for the care I received and will recommend to others the excellent way I was treated.

Just had my final end of treatment appointment January 19th after right and left hip replacement in 2023 by the very special orthopaedic surgeon at this hospital. Thanks to his skill 2024 is starting off fantastically, No pain,No painkillers,No walking stick, feeling great. The care you receive by the whole team in this friendly, extremely efficiently run hospital is 1st class you will not get better anywhere. Big thanks to you All.

From admission to discharge the quality of care is outstanding. I have had both my hips replaced this year in this hospital the most recent 11/09/2023 (1st private, 2nd NHS) after being in pain for years i still can’t quite believe i am now pain free, information treatment and the kindness I received was exceptional. I know i am not allowed to say by name but i would like to express an enormously big thank you to the highly skilled orthopaedic surgeon, the whole surgical team, the brilliant nurses who are with you day and night so attentive there in seconds if you need them, physio who gives you the confidence to climb those stairs, the gentleman who takes you to x-ray to see your new hip, add to that the clean comfortable en-suite room, lovely food of your choice altogether leaves you feeling confident in your care, i was so relaxed it felt like a mini holiday. So in my opinion anyone thinking about this hospital don’t hesitate. *its simply the best*

I arrived earlier than intended this did not seem to be an issue. I was seen to and in theater in a very timely fashion. The surgery I had to relieve a bulging disc worked very well as I felt no pain the disc had been causing, only pain from the incision. The surgeon and all of his team are remarkably professional and considerate.

I was very impressed with the overall facilities, the courteous, friendly,professional and attentive attitude of all the staff. The surgeon explained the procedure I was to undergo in detail. He was reassuring, professional and attentive. The anaesthetist, the house officer and the theatre technician where equally professional, reassuring and courteous. I experienced none of the usual post anaesthesia side effects which I expected. Overall a very good experience.
