Review titled Great staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Samuel Whitton - Posted on 04 April 2025
I just wanted to leave this review to say how amazing all the staff have been on the ward I have been on I have had to have surgery on my neck and all the staff have been amazing from keep checking in on me to making sure I’m not in to much pain. There is staff from university here which are amazing here aswell and can see how much they enjoy helping people which I think is amazing for the future however I think it’s sad that these nurses are coming here working so so hard and not getting paid for coming because of the stupid rules university make they are all amazing on this ward it’s called d9 on west block. They have all been so understanding and so kind to me I would recommend this to anyone all the staff are so happy in here and I don’t think Iv ever been anywhere in my life where everyone smiles like they do in here

Dear Patient Thank you for your review following your recent stay on ward D9 West Block. We are pleased to hear that while you stayed on the ward you found all staff to be amazing and had a smile on their face. It is great to hear that your surgery went well and that your pain relief was well managed. I will pass this feedback on to the ward manager and matron of ward D9 so that it can be shared with the team involved in your care. May we take this opportunity to wish you a quick recovery from your surgery. Kind regards, Kelly – Patient Experience Officer.

Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Julia Hibbert - Posted on 20 August 2024
I had to take an ambulance to QMC for suspected stroke/bppv. The ambulance guys were amazing, even checking on me several times when they returned to the hospital with new patients. The staff in the A&E department had such great commerardary and made me feel very well looked after. I can't thank them all enough!

Review titled Life changing
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Sarah - Posted on 12 October 2023
I have been deaf my entire life. Firstly this is the first in a decade an audiologist was outstanding in understanding hearing lost, adjusting hearing aids and really taking onboard my feedback and creating a health plan to adapt to the new prescription. She was insanely kind, patience and understanding. The Ropewalk audiology center has to be in my opinion one of the best in the country I have experienced so far and I have been registered with a few already in 28 years. The reception staff are all incredible, booked me an appointment immediately taking onboard my issue (broken hearing aid) and got me in as soon as they could. While being polite, happy and just understanding. They really do work hard and really do their best to accommodate you even if it is short notice. Not only this but let's take a moment to appreciate the equipment they have, I am a young deaf person, not as their typical client as a pensioner age. The hearing aids they arranged for me based on my needs from the audiology assessment has advanced in a way I have never seen in my whole life. Literally the hearing aids are life changing for someone like me. Bluetooth enabled means for the first time I can using my hearing aids hear phone calls and listen to music. I know it may seem like a luxury but for a deaf person I had no idea you could even get hearing aids like this and I definitely did not ask or request such thing, but instead I was amazed and blessed to be able to qualify for these hearing aids based on my needs. All in all, today you changed my life for the better, the staff are incredibly amazing. I speak from experience that some places are like here's the basic equipment and make do attitude but at the Ropewalk as the children services are also like, they go above and beyond for their patients. Thank you so much for helping me and giving me the confidence and tools to live a normal life like any hearing person in the hearing world. You are all incredible and I hope and pray that you guys are able to keep up the amazing work you have been providing for Nottingham.

Thank you for providing us with your feedback on our audiology service it’s always nice to hear that a patient feels so well supported and feedback such as this is always so well received. I can only imagine what it must feel like to obtain such independence through this service and understand how important this is to you. I will pass this comment on to the audiology service manager at the rope walk now so that this can be fed back to the team who looked after you Kind regards, Kelly – Patient experience officer
