Review titled Fantastic, Amazing Staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Michael Edwards - Posted on 15 May 2025
My 96 year old mum was admited to the Amber ward and the level of caring of her is amazing. Every person she has come in to contact with has been outstanding. I cannot speak highly enough of everyone. some staff have seen her once, some have been with us on this journey. The NHS is an amazing institute, the care and dedication of the staff is something to be proud. and if you are an NHS worker you have my thanks and gratitude from the bottom of my heart. Thank you

Review titled Such a positive experience
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Norma - Posted on 13 May 2025
I was recently seen at the ophthalmology department for investigations on my eyes. The service I received was excellent from start to finish, with minimal waiting times. All members of staff including the nurses and doctor were professional, polite, friendly and efficient. I was given clear information and assurance from the doctor about the condition of my eyes and what steps would be taken next. He also took the time to call in three of his colleagues to teach about and allow them to look at an unusual condition in my eye. I'm very grateful for the care I received. This is a very well run department and a credit to our marvellous NHS. Thank you!

Review titled Great experience
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I went to a&e after calling 111. I was greeted by the “Hello Nurse” that measured my blood pressure and told me where to go. After registration I then was triaged and then after around a hour was seen by a doctor and a senior doctor for second opinion. After the consultation they did many tests I didn’t wait long at all. I sent 8 hours in the a&e doing tests and everything. I didn’t wait around more than a hour. The nurses were very helpful and communicative. The doctors also were coming frequently to check on all patients and everyone made sure that the area wasn’t over crowded and everything was going smoothly. Great experience. Thank you.

My child was in the children’s emergency department and the staff there looked after her so well. Such attentive care and so kind. Made the experience a lot easier and less stressful.

Review titled Chaotic A&E department
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Simon - Posted on 08 January 2025
My wife was admitted to A&E more than 24 hours ago, after being sent from Chace Farm Urgent Care, and has still not been assigned a bed (having to beg to even receive a chair in the waiting area which can even recline). She has received no more than some IV drips even though the triage doctors were extremely concerned about potential damage to her liver due to what looks to be a virus which has severely impacted her (but has still not been confirmed more than 24 hours after she was admitted), and scans that she was advised she needed urgently on her kidneys and liver have still not been undertaken more than 12 hours after told. It's understandable that there is currently a high stress on A&E services, but that doesn't excuse very ill patients who have been admitted not receiving the urgent care they require (my wife doesn't seem to be the only example), or even to be put into a position to be made comfortable, which would seem to be a minimum requirement for patients to not deteriorate, let alone recover.

I attended Clinic 6 Dermatology today October 22nd to have a skin lesion removed. The consultant ensured that I was informed about all aspects of the procedure. He was pleasant, caring and had an excellent bedside manner. I felt very well taken care of throughout. A special mention also for his nursing assistant and her care.
