Review titled Contacted the ward for an update of father's condition

My father had been rushed to A&E following the deterioration of his health. He was admitted to the AMU. I called in the early hours of the morning for an update. I was told it was an inconvenient time to call for an update and to call back at 7 am. Being a nurse, I know that 7 am is a very busy time for wards. Care is a 24 hrs service and family members should be able to call at any time within reason to get updates of loved ones.

The trust really need to sort out the car parking. It is just a nightmare. After 30 minutes waiting I had to leave the car on a curb. The car park is not registering when people are leaving, it is a complete disaster today. 17.10.23

Having just had heart surgery at this hospital, I would like to say a huge grateful thanks to all the staff who work here. The nursing staff are second to none with their professionalism,dedication, cheerfulness and immaculate turnout. One person in particular deserves a special mention as this person when on night shift worked tirelessly through a very hot night and couldn't do enough to try to keep everyone happy. I didn't get his name but he was I think Japanese and had his hair tied in a bun on the back of his head. He really couldn't do enough for everyone. He is a great credit to New Cross Hospital and if there is ever a person who deserves employee of the month it would be this person. I hope he gets some sort of recognition.

Attended my appointment to see Consultant at Fracture Clinic NXH - was x- rayed and seen very shortly after. Excellent clinic, pleasant waiting area with easy access to toilets and cafe for drinks etc. Staff were really helpful and friendly.

Review titled My heart attack

Last Friday night I had an heat attack. From paramedics to resus to medical to cardio at every stage I received efficient and effective care by hard working dedicated staff. I received the right medication fast I had a stent fitted and my arteries opened with balloons by an incredible team using futuristic technology. From students to nurses to doctors to consultants everyone worked tirelessly and communicated well. Our NHS is amazing. We need to remember these are human beings who work long hours dealing with stressful situations. They have families their selfs Thank you everyone one of you. Thanks to you I am back home with my family recovering

Mum being almost 80 years was placed in the side triage at A & E to be investigated. Mum said (Patient Care) was clearly the Top Priority here at New Cross, I could clearly see that too, all staff, were amazing helping my mum in a very busy hospital, thankyou so much.

I had breast cancer 7 years ago and recieved the very best care from New Cross Hospital. I have had no problems until recently so visited my doctor and had an urgent refererral to the hospital. 14 days after referral l had my appointment. I saw a caring consultant , who completed a thorough examination. He sent me for an immediate mammogram and CT scan. The whole process took One hour and 25 minutes. I was given the all clear immediately. I am delighted. I am so grateful for the caring, speedy and excellent care l have received. Thank you New Cross for the excellent breast care programme you have in place. I feel confident and reassured that if l have any concerns in the future they will be dealt with by excellent practitioners.

I really cannot complement the staff dealing with my cataract operation enough. The actual surgery went very well and caused me no discomfort or pain at all. The staff on the Mary Jones ward were Brilliant with me, particularly when they were trying to arrange hospital transport for me. During the time I had to wait (a total of 9 hours) they tried to arrange other means of transport but looked after me and cared for me Extremely well. I trust this review will get related to the staff. They absolutely deserve it. (My surgery was Wednesday 16th August). Once again, thank you you to the brilliant staff, I would have no hesitation if I ever needed further treatment

Day case at Hollybank. I had my spinal injections done today. The care from the ward to theatres was exceptional. All the staff are friendly and I was not afraid to ask for help. Thank you all at Hollybank and you do an amazing job.
