Review titled Great service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Antony Shelton - Posted on 14 December 2023
Arrived for appointment and seen promptly, all staff were very polite and friendly, and were very keen to make sure that I was looked after. The consultant that saw me was very calm and extremely patient, and did his absolute best for me, and made sure that he was in the best place to give me information about my condition. His colleague was also very clear in making sure that I was aware of all options for my treatment. I have always recommended the eye infirmary to anyone seeking help and my latest visit reassured me that there is still a reliance on providing high quality care. Very well done and great service, thank you.

Review titled An Amazing Life Changing Experience
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Andy Goode - Posted on 16 January 2024
I was transferred from Hereford CCU on Wednesday 13th December for a triple Bypass operation. I arrived at 7pm and the staff were amazing getting to surgery by 9pm. Operating overnight I was then transferred to ICU and then vack to the ward. The staff, nurses, doctors and auxiliary were all exceptional often going the extra mile to ensure high quality care was available. The food on the unit was also exceptional which when your appetite is struggling to come back was again helpful. I was discharged on the 19th December and the emotional response from the staff seeing my progress emphasised the personal approach offered to every patient. I would like to personally thank every member of staff who have worked tirelessly to radically change my life for the next phase. I will always be grateful for the care and support along with the clinical excellence that I have received. Thank you do much for such wonderful care

Review titled Poor telephone communication
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 06 December 2023
My father was admitted to a and e by ambulance on 5th Dec. Could not fault ambulance gentleman . My dad is 94 and treated him with the greatest of respect. Visited my dad same day everything fine doctors brilliant. Next day rang 30 times between a and e and admissions to find out if my dad had been moved and see how he'd been thru night. What a joke no one answered phones at all and sometimes found it must have been taken off hook. I know staff are busy but when anyone in hospital it is a worrying time and at the age of 94 I just wanted a little feedback how my dad's night went and where he was.

Rated 5 stars out of 5
by May Priest - Posted on 18 December 2023
Attended for Ablation for AFib, service received in Catheter Suite and on ward following Ablation was excellent. Following operation I was transferred to a ward for aftercare, staff in Catheter Suite and later in the ward were very caring, attentive, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The care I received from start to finish was excellent, many thanks to you all from a very greatful patient.

Review titled An absolutely amazing team
by Liswh83 - Posted on 04 January 2024
ENT SDEC ward B7. I was admitted and treated on this ward after being transferred from Russell's Hall Hospital with severe tonsillitis. The team of nurses were absolutely amazing from the very beginning, offering me reassurance, kindness and care. They were so very attentive and such kind-hearted, lovely people. The on duty doctor saw me very quickly and set me on medication immediately. I was able to go home that evening. Throughout my stay, I couldn't have asked for better treatment, kindness or care. Hats off to all of the staff in that ward working so hard. An absolutely amazing team who are a credit to the hospital.

Review titled The worse experience ever
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Teresa - Posted on 02 November 2023
I took my daughter with bad arm. She had a fall. We arrived at19:00. We waited 40 min to book in. Than another 45 min to see the nurse who for someone working with kids wasn’t very nice to my child. She told me we have to see the doctor and will take around 2h. At 00:30 I gave up and I took my child home as she felt a bit better and no one could tell me when she will be seen by anybody. The waiting room was full of confused and angry parents and nobody cared about it. That is horrible way to treat people. They are kids little humans in pain and scared.

Review titled Trying to book appointment
by Angelpie - Posted on 21 November 2023
I have been trying to book and ECG appointment with the cardiac investigations department. There were systems issues, three automated response said. I have spent in excess of 9 hours on hold in a queue... you get to first position great, then the phone rings to connect you to a real person and you get excited... Then the call connects and is immediately terminated. Physically by the person at the other end, it seems. The last call we heard someone laughing as the call terminated. This is not an acceptable standard. No wonder the call volumes are high; we have to keep rejoining a call queue trying to make these important appointments, just to be cut off by the human at the other end who seemingly doesn't want to answer the call. I have tried morning and afternoon... the entire time the line is open. Same thing happens. I have had 3 friends try on different networks; same result.

Thank you all so much x
