After weeks kin hospital wards on my way to recovering from a manic episode I was delighted to land eventually in a mental ward that I quickjly realised would be able to help me especially well. Leadenhall exuded love, patience and affection, particularÙly from the carers, with their remarkable people skills. Meals of nourishing and varied menus were served at regular times and hygiene was high as staff spent hours cleaning.

  3. Review titled Fantastic experience

I went to Mile End Hospital today for an x ray, having been advised by Whipps Cross that they had long waits for appointments. As soon as I arrived at Mile End hospital, I was welcomed by the reception staff who could see I didn’t know where to go and directed to the imagery department. On arrival, I handed my form in, took a seat and was greeted by friendly staff and taken straight through for my x ray. The whole process took less than 10 minutes and was easy and as pleasant as these things can be. Excellent staff and service.

  4. Review titled Admission to hospital

    by abuz23 - Posted on 07 February 2023

I felt like alienated. Nurse in charge didn’t even have a name badge. Wasn’t believing me that I used to work in healthcare at another hospital. Their manner was rude too.

  5. Review titled Brilliant service, lovely staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Was referred to Mile End Hospital because I required an x-ray and the department at Whipps Cross is having renovations. I was told I could go Mon - Fri anytime (except between 1-2pm). I went on Thursday afternoon around 2:45pm. Dept is easy to find, staff are helpful and I was seen by the lovely staff who did my x-ray, then was confirmed for no fractures by a Dr in less than 20 minutes total. Amazing service.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by June Barclay - Posted on 04 January 2023

I arrived and was seen at my appointment time. Fabulous doctor, very thorough. I had a urine test, blood test and X-rays all while I was there. All this took one and half hours !! Unbelievable!! The doctor has ordered other tests which will be followed up with appointments. I left the hospital feeling very cared for, such wonderful staff in all the apartments visited.

  7. Review titled Fantastic Covid 19 treatment experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by David - Posted on 13 August 2022

On 10.8.22 my Covid-19 lateral flow test proved positive and having submitted my result via the App I was contacted the following morning by the Covid Medicine Unit at Mile End Hospital as I have chronic myeloid leukemia. I was offered treatment with Sotrovimab by infusion. I decided to see I how felt the following day. I was contacted again on 12.8.22 and upon reflection and not feeling any better I agreed to the treatment. I have nothing but praise for the treatment I received from the fantastic ambulance crew who collected me from my home, the very professional and organized team at the hospital and once again eternally grateful to the NHS who have continued to help me since my cancer diagnosis with yesterday’s service very much part of it. Please pass on my thanks to the medical team who cared for me on 12.8.22.

  8. Review titled Routine breast screening

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Geraldine - Posted on 28 July 2022

I had a routine breast screening, never an experience I look forward to, I had a very caring, considerate, patient and gentle nurse technician who took my images and made my appointment as comfortable as possible. I looked at reviews before I chose this hospital and wanted to leave a review for others to let them know I would recommend a breast screening here.

  9. Review titled Very Disappointed of the Service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 23 December 2022

I was referred to the Rheumatology Department, Mile End Hospital, for the second time as 4 years ago I was diagnosed with RA. In May 2022, I had an appointment due to pain in my both shoulders. The consultant did checks and proposed me to continue with the same medication prescribed 4 years ago. Then confirmed that I am going to receive my medication at home...6 months passed, October came, I was still waiting for my tablets from the hospital. At the same time I was having this constant shoulder pain, and trying to find any methods to resolve it ..I went to the GP to see what is going on ..The GP said that Mile End Hospital has to provide me with this medicine. OK, but under these circumstances and thanks God the GP got the report from my appointment in May, I received a prescription for my tablets from the GP, and I started taking them… Unfortunately, other parts of my body started to be painful while I have been waiting for my tablets.. I called back Rheumatology Mile End, telling them that 6 months ago the consultant confirmed few times that I am going to be provided with medication to start my treatment, but this medication never arrived. I told Rheumatology Department that they need to arrange who is going to issue my medication-they or GP. In November 2022, after this my telephone conversation with the hospital, I had a missed call on my mobile. After returning the call, I found out that it is from the pharmacy of the Royal London Hospital, telling me that I have a medication now. They tried to deliver it at home but I was not there. This is perfect, but the delivery service of the pharmacy never left me any note, text message, or voice message, to remind that somebody tried to deliver my medication. If I haven’t followed this missed call, there is no way to know that I need to collect my medication...Also, it was very strange that after a follow up telephone appointment with the same consultant, I was told that there was a confusion that the prescription in May didn’t go through…how come. Didn’t go through? Why I haven’t received my prescription in person while I was in the hospital? Also, I have never received any doctors’ reports designated for me after any consultations in the hospital. I am feeling myself ignored as a patient in need, who should receive a clear written report regarding my health situation after each of my appointments. I am very disappointed of the service how Rheumatology Department and pharmacy treated me as a patient...
