  1. Review titled a big thankyou to the doctor to the nurses.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I’m not the type to leave reviews , but after yesterday’s service it would be rude not to. I took a trip to midland met 9/10/24 I have been suffering for several months where I’ve made so many trips to Sandwell Hospital a&e. Each time I have been they have told me something different and just brushed it off and sent me home with painkillers. I had been rushed into a&e once again but to midland met. I had a female doctor who was the one who was looking after me during my visit and she had finally given me my diagnosis that could have been given to me my last trip if they checked me out the way she did. It baffles me that I was taken to Sdec last time at Sandwell and they did not do what this lovely doctor did. I just want to say a big thankyou to her for all her hard work and Midland Met Hospital should be so grateful to have a doctor who is so understanding and lovely. She listened to everything I had to say and usually doctors don’t want to hear about your past experiences only the present. She took everything into consideration and she took the right steps to get me the right help. She explained my condition in so much detail so I have a great understanding. I cannot thank her enough and if I do ever have to make another trip to a&e ( hopefully not ) I really hope she is the doctor that I am under care of. She is amazing. The hospital so far has been great! I do think signs should be a tad clearer , but they have just opened so I’m sure they’ll always be improving as the hospital gets busier. I also want to thank the nurses who took care of me yesterday , you were all great. Thankyou for finally listening to me and for getting me the correct help that I have been begging for from my GP’s and from Sandwell & QE hospital. The A&E were also quick and efficient and I hope it stays this way.

  2. Review titled 18 hour wait in A and E

Rated 1 star out of 5

Visited new A and E yesterday and received an 18 hour wait. City A and E is not closed yet so hate to think what waiting times will be like when it does close. Not very well organised as when nurses are calling you to be triaged some are quiet and so you cannot hear if you are at the back and then miss your turn. Care was good when seen but could not believe only had one ECG machine in whole department also in the treatment area it seems too small with staff in the way of each other. The actual hospital doesn't seem any better than Sandwell's it is probably better than the City Hospital so can understand closing that but really Sandwell should have been left open alongside this new hospital to deal with the increasing population. Couldn't believe elderly man had been waiting for a bed for 24 hours and told to sleep on the two seater bench till one could be found disgraceful. Hopefully I won't have to use an A and E again but will not be returning here as Russell Hall and Manor are about the same distance away from my house as this. It is closer to Birmingham than Sandwell Please reopen Sandwell A and E
