  1. Review titled Excellent all round!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

My Mum was admitted to the John Proctor and stays both in Queens and City prior to his. Over the days of her stay I got to chat to some of the nurses and the catering staff. They are all very caring and knowledgeable. They looked after Mum really well. I always felt Mum was safe and cared for. All the staff were friendly, sharing both a laugh and a more serious conversation. I can’t praise them highly enough for the attention they gave to Mum.

  2. Review titled Great care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Saunders Family - Posted on 03 September 2024

Our relative was resident for about 5 weeks. The care and attention given on castle ward was just wonderful. Often under difficult circumstances, the staff showed a great deal of patience, empathy and understanding to both patients and visitors. A cup of tea was always on hand. We can't praise them enough. Our thanks will always be with them.

  3. Review titled Weekend Staff Issues

Rated 2 stars out of 5

My father has been a patient at Lings Bar for several weeks now and generally his care and the staff have been excellent for which I thank them. However on 3 separate weekends I have noticed a considerable deterioration in the level of care he’s received e.g Medication left for him on his tray, Nothing on his feet, left wearing the same clothes for 3 days, and staff basing themselves outside the’24hour’ ward at the tables rather than within the room as I believe is a safety requirement. No management available for me to raise these concerns with as it was a weekend.

I was very saddened to hear this about your experience at Lings Bar. I would welcome the chance to directly improve care for all our patients as soon as possible. I will put my contact details at the base of this reply and I would welcome the opportunity to discuss your concerns further so I can look into it in more detail. 4. Review titled Compassionate care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Pippa Ward - Posted on 10 October 2023

My father was admitted to Lings Bar Hospital, John Procter Ward for rehabilitation after a fall. We were hopeful that it was a chance for better things for him but unfortunately his health deteriorated quite quickly and he had to receive end of life care. All the staff were kind, compassionate, respectful and nurturing towards my Dad and got to know him as a person. The care he received was exemplary. Similarly, the way we were treated as a family was outstanding, we were consulted, listened to, included and cared for personally every step of the way, given 24 hour access when the time came and helped to navigate a very difficult and upsetting situation. Thank you to everyone involved in my Dad’s care in his final days, the doctors, ward managers, nurses, health care assistants and domestic staff, you are all admirable.
