  1. Review titled Outstanding Care and Respect

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Joan Dennis - Posted on 02 April 2025

I attended the Endoscopy K4 Suite yesterday(1/4/25. I cannot praise Kings Mill Hospital Staff enough. From the moment I walked through the door I had all the help and reassurance I could have asked for. My Proceedure went well and the respect shown by the Staff from the Doctor to his team was outstanding. I just can't thank them enough. I would recommend Kings Mill Hospital to everyone. I was even offered a nice cup of tea or coffee afterwards. Bless you all and thank you again.

  2. Review titled Hearing aid fault

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by William Davis-Audiology - Posted on 24 April 2025

I attended the hospital today, without an appointment,as my hearing aids were not working, after being told, they could not be looked at today,i was referred to the Patient Experience Department, where explained my problem. I was told then to return to Audiology, where a technician found that my right hearing aid stopped working, due to a microphone fault. He then replaced this part and adjusted the volume on my aids. I am really grateful for the service that i eventually received from all the staff involved, as my hearing aids make my life so more enjoyable. Thank you so much.

  3. Review titled Outstanding staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Debs Dulake - Posted on 04 April 2025

Recent appointment for a hysteroscopy and all staff were friendly, kind, understanding and took their time with me. From the nurse who put me at ease initially discussing our twins (hers are 5 and mine are 25) to the ladies in the room with me during the procedure. My comfort was considered, care was given in how I was and if I was in too much pain they stopped until I was ready again. What we could see on the screen via the camera was all explained including why the lady with the camera was doing what she was doing. I was allowed time to be steady after the procedure, not rushed and even shown photos of what was found and why I would be called back. She also explained what would happen then and an appointment was made for a weeks time due to Easter bank holidays. Only comment is to the decision makers to enable warm water to be used during the procedure rather than cold, this would help pain and aid comfort. I understand this has been raised before and ignored so please consider this simple measure again.

  4. Review titled Deepest gratitude

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Kings Mill Hospital 14/04/2025 – Ward 23 bay A I would like to express my deepest gratitude for the outstanding care and service I received during my stay at Kings Mill Hospital. From the moment I arrived, every member of staff—from the doctors and nurses to the cleaning staff and tea ladies—has been simply amazing. There are too many individuals to name, but please know that every single person I encountered contributed to my positive experience. The communication was excellent; I was kept informed every step of the way. The attention to detail and the thoroughness of the care provided is truly a sight to behold. As someone who has been very unwell, I can honestly say I could not have been in a better place. You should be incredibly proud of the achievements of your team—excellence doesn’t even begin to cover it. Once again, a Big Big thank you. Kindest regards, Shaun

  5. Review titled Outstanding care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Unfortunately today was the second time this year that I have had to visit A & E with a family member. Both times compassionate care was delivered promptly and professionally (in both adult and children services). Communication was excellent and the staff were able to put us at ease with their skills, knowledge and (appropriate) humor. I would like to thank you all, you’re all stars ⭐️

I would like to Thank everyone from the surgeons, nurses and care takers. Everyone has been amazing and looked after me extremely well. I have never experienced such a high level of care. I was very nervous, but I was reassured that they will look after me and they did. The wards are clean and very cosy. Thank you to everyone again!!!

  8. Review titled Cancelled operation 3rd time

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Colin Smith - Posted on 23 February 2025

Quick recap. First operation knee replacement cancelled after spending full day I hospital bed, that was in October. Second operation cancelled in December day before operation. Third operation cancelled end of February by a letter I received 2 days before operation that was actually dated 10 days before operation. They still led me to believe the operation would take place at the pre op on the 19th Feb Nd on the 20th Feb the consultants secretary told me the operation was still taking place on the 24th. Even though she would have known about the cancellation letter, I had not yet received. Been on the waiting list over 1 .5 years. Because it's taken so long my hip has now had it and will need replacing. Shocking NHS service. Just waste money time after time. Quick example. 7 pre oops for the same operation. Hundreds of letters. No other industry could be run like this and survive.

  9. Review titled Fantastic service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

My daughter was referred to Kings Mill by a GP as she suspected she may be suffering from appendicitis. The way we were looked after at the hospital was exemplary. We were triaged immediately upon arrival and then saw a doctor approximately an hour later. The doctor thoroughly examined my daughter and allayed our fears about possible appendicitis. The NHS receives much criticism but I cannot fault the level of service we received. Thank you.

  10. Review titled Great people

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Robin Wood - Posted on 16 January 2025

I was in the day care unit on Monday 13th for an operation on my nose (polyps and sinsues). I write to say a "big thank you"to all in he team that looked after me, from the point of "booking in" to the point of "departure". You should be proud of the team that you have at Kingsmill; I thought they all were fantastic and all took great care of me, at all times. Its the first time in years that I've been able to breathe properly through my nose so the change in me is great: I just cannot thank you colleagues enough. They all were great; really friendly, really helpful and really caring too. Well done to you all.
