I am actually ashamed to say I work for this trust Went into A and E 4 days post op severe abdo pain via ambulance took 9 hours to even get a nurse to triage me and prescribed analgesia. There was literally trolleys thrown about the corridor no organisation or communication from staff what so ever.

  3. Review titled Rude staff

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Went for an ultrasound appointment, was 5 minutes late due to a queue in the car park that I hadn’t anticipated. Receptionist was lovely and reassured me when I arrived. Sat outside the ultrasound room, I heard discussion and laughter but assumed they were in with a patient. The saw people going in and out of the room casually. A lady in a burgundy uniform came out and I approached her to let her know I had arrived in case I had been forgotten and she rudely snapped at me ‘yes, you were late’ I was called in a few seconds later and there had been no patient in before me! I had been kept waiting for 30 minutes because I was 5 minutes late. If I knew that would have been the reaction I would have called to reschedule from the car park! As opposed to be snapped at in front of other patients!

  5. Review titled Admirable dedication to the patients

by Alamanda - Posted on 15 December 2023

I was recently at King George hospital with my son's partner, who's pregnant, to check with diabetic midwife/nurse whose name is Samira. She was so friendly, polite and extremely patiently to explain and respond to our questions of how to use or monitor the blood sugar during the pregnancy. I just want to thank you for her dedication to the patients which is admirable, and it shows in the excellent care that she provides.

  7. Review titled Great care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Pamela Jane Isabel Watkinson - Posted on 18 December 2023

Very happy with the care my husband and I received. My husband became ill, whilst I was being seen to in a&e. He ended up staying in, as he was diagnosed with a heart condition. It was a difficult weekend with me being ill as well, but I knew he was in the right place.

  8. Review titled Worst hospital ever

Rated 1 star out of 5

Went for a routine check up at GP and was referred to AE to get Ck’s as bloods was high. Went in at 5pm and did not leave till 1pm. Absolute chaos everyone all over the place. All headless chickens don’t have an idea what’s going on . Worst AE experience in my 43 years. Never visit this hospital should be closed. No organisation no telling patients about wait times just making people wait.

  9. Review titled Effective care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Mrs Pamela Watkinson - Posted on 05 November 2023

My daughter was seen quickly and efficiently in a&e 10 out of 10. Got the prescription she needed desperately for her illness. However if our GP and 111 had been more effective, and listened to us, in numerous telephone calls to them, in the first place, she would never have had to attend a&e, it is inappropriate, but her condition was worsening. Thankfully she is on the mend now

I had vaccum assisted operation on my breast in October and was told I would get the results within a few weeks. I am still trying to get them. When I finally get through I am told that only a nurse can give me my results and when I am told that the nurse will call me back she never does. When you are waiting to hear back about cancer results and you are told you will be told on Tue and you sit and wait with the phone with your family on standby all day and the call never comes this is extremely stressful. I only hope the people in charge of running this results department never have to wait themselves for a cancer result and if they do I hope they don’t wait for 3 months.
