My father was in the Julian Hospital for 7 months and during this time his stay began on the Beach Ward. His care on this ward was attentive and communication between ourselves and the ward was very good. However before Christmas 2024 he was moved to the Rose Ward. On our first visit my Father had been on Rose Ward for 5 days and within those 5 days, he health had somewhat deteriorated significantly, to the point he had to be hospitalised to the N&N. When my father arrived back onto Rose Ward, the care from 3 staff members was brilliant, however with the majority of staff this was not the case. On one visit my Father was sitting in wet bottoms and we had notified the staff of this and asked if he could be changed. Two hours later this had not happened. As a family we found the staff on Rose Ward did not communicate with us very well and some staff members were seen to be sitting relaxing with their feet on chairs. This as a family we felt that this was not very professional. The overall care provided was not as it is required with many questions to be asked. As mentioned before there were staff that would go above and beyond to help but these were very few.

I could not have been treated any better by the staff members that attended me, they were superb. Without their dedication and devotion to me as their patient, I may not be here now, because I was in a very dark place. I have suicidal tendencies, and I could have done anything without them. So thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I hope you know who you are.

my wife was in reed ward for her assessment and during my visits i was very, very impressed by the care and compassion shown by all of the staff to all of the patients. constant care and attention to all of the patients needs and demands be it food or drink or sympathy or just a hand to hold. you can be rightly proud of your staffs dedication and commitment well above any persons normal expectations - for my wife and myself a heart felt thank you.
