  1. Review titled Slow in the end

Started off well with tests being done in a reasonable time frame and results also, however was told the cannula needed removing which was over 2 hours ago and still counting/waiting in the ambulatory department .so started off well and let them selves down at the end with the basics.

  3. Review titled Well organised and caring

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had a sudden onset problem which the emergency department managed quickly and effectively. After triage, I was taken to an ambulatory care centre. This service very much exceeded my expectations. Within a few hours I’d had an ECG, blood tests and a review by a very thorough and kind doctor. The nursing team were cheerful and competent. The waiting area had a TV and at one point tea was provided (I was also offered a sandwich, had I wanted something to eat). I think we are perhaps conditioned to expect a difficult experience with an emergency presentation, but I was discharged after about 4.5 hours with a diagnosis and some medication. I felt really well cared for. Hopefully I won’t need to attend A&E again but the staff there and in the ambulatory care area are doing a fantastic job.

Visited A&E three times good quick care. Third time I was admitted to Short Stay Ward where I stayed for,8 days. Care was outstanding from the nurses, the HCA, the Volunteers and a big thankyou for lovely food which was fresh and tasty

  5. Review titled Accident and emergency

Rated 3 stars out of 5

Today at 11am the lady on reception in and, was very rude and confrontational. To myself and several elderly patients. I was made to feel intimidated, which in turn made me very upset. After she dealt with me,she continued with her extremely poor attitude to other patients. The rest of the staff were amazing apart from the said individual. She left quite a few patients extremely anxious and upset.

  6. Review titled Tongue tie

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Visited this day treatment service whereupon the consultant was quite hurried, cold and quite rough sticking two fingers down an 8 week babies mouth for examination. She was crying very loudly he did not reassure the mum or myself as support. Found it very traumatic. He was was keen to cut the part quickly. I would not recommend. The car park kiosk attendant had no sign up for blue badge holders to say it's 'Free Parking' when I asked and showed my badge he snatched the yellow coin and gave a free coin to exit. No signs in the car park to exit out on the surface. Congested and flooded in one corner. Action required - remove the miserable man in the kiosk and put a sign to state, Blue badge holders free psrking.

The A&E department staff at Hinchingbrooke were friendly and helpful. A nurse sorted out my problem with expertise and I am so grateful. Thank you very much indeed.

  8. Review titled Fantastic Health Care!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had laser prostate surgery to improve my urine flow - naturally I was a little apprehensive about my procedure but without being patronising I can confirm that I found all the staff, nurses and doctors friendly, caring and very professional- of course it wasn’t a holiday but I experienced little discomfort and pain - we should be proud of our NHS!

  9. Review titled A&E Receptionist

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 20 January 2024

Besides the Good experience with all medical staff, unfortunately the initial first contact with the “Receptionist “ in a quiet A&E was completely different. How that person was employed in that role, is a mystery. Rude demeanour, rolling eyes and tutting when “they” couldn’t be heard clearly. Was an effort to refill a jug of drinking water when asked. Clearly needs retraining or redeployment to a non public role.

  10. Review titled Going to x-ray

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Tina - Posted on 04 January 2024

Went to a and e, receptionist was amazing so were nearly all the doctors. 1 especially was. Had to go to x-ray twice and both times was sent outside to the main entrance, it was freezing cold and night, I was already cold from the shock of my accident, could not stop shaking for a long time. Has yo be another route I'm sure.
