Go to get a blood test done. Went to the counter and was asked in a not interested tone. Date of Birth, Surname, take a mask. I asked why we still had to wear them when i visited a local hospital and London hospital I didnt need to wear one. I was told I have to and "that's why everyone else is wearing them". I said I'm asthmatic, so she took out a mask and said that you have to wear this then. She was totally switched off, disinterested nd very rude. A couple of people walked past the main reception into radiology, and said we have been told that we don't need to wear a mask as we wouldn't normally.

Diabetic eye screening - arrived early and was seen almost straight away. The staff member was smartly dressed, friendly, efficient and professional and quite clearly knew his area of expertise extremely well. At all stages he checked the result and took another eye photo to check if he thought it necessary and explained the resulting picture without trying to give any form of diagnosis. This person is a credit to the NHS and made a hospital visit virtually a pleasure.

Diabetic eye screening - arrived early and was seen almost straight away. The staff member was very efficient and a pleasure to be tested by, very friendly and set my mind at ease

I attended a regular annual diabetic eye screening. As usual, there were no delays and the young lady who checked my eyes was friendly and efficient.

Back to back appointments for blood tests and a scan were handled efficiently and the staff in both departments were very pleasant. Very little waiting but the physical environment seems clean and bright. I could not have asked for more and wish the whole of the NHS could provide a similar experience to patients. Thank you .

I couldn’t recommend this dermatology department enough, especially the phototherapy section! The nurses have been so accommodating, welcoming, positive, understanding and all around lovely. They made me feel comfortable upon arrival and throughout the whole process, which made it a lot easier. Thank you for everything :)

I had lung function tests today and the member of staff was brilliant with me. He was exceptionally supportive, very kind and patient whilst carrying out the tests. He explained clearly what I needed to do and really made me feel at ease. Excellent practice thank you.

This is the second time I have used Hertford County, this time for a booked appointment blood test. Despite problems in the car park - Bring Coins £2.10 for first hour; doesn't take cards - main receptionist and pathology receptionist were welcoming and helpful. I was seen exactly at the appointment time and the phlebotomist was extremely competent and friendly. This was also the case when I went there last year for a gynae appointment. I don't understand some of the negative comments left previously. Perhaps the patients were rude first??
