Used the walk in centre as advised by 111, very rude receptionist, waited 20 mins for triage, moved to seperate area then left for 4 hours with an injured leg, once finally seen by dismissive staff no advice other than if concerned about nerve damage see own GP! Never again! Terrible service

  4. Review titled Reassuring assessment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Graham Knight - Posted on 12 December 2023

My wife had a fall at home and banged her forehead in our kitchen. First call was to the doctor's - our receptionist spoke with a doctor, who advised at a distance ambulance or A & E. We opted for the Haywood because we were impressed with our treatment there during Covid. Car park was a worry because nowhere is the information that there is no charge. Triage took 15-20 minutes, and this was tremendously reassuring. We then waited for just under four hours, but the assessment and advice (second opinion was sought) was professional and worth the wait. Sadly our overriding feeling was that 75% of the patients in the walk-in clinic would have gone to their GPs a decade or so ago. We would have no hesitation in going back to the Haywood, but it is a great pity that our local surgery is not as accommodating.

  5. Review titled Parking signs bad

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Jacqui Nixon - Posted on 25 October 2023

Came for a rheumatology appointment with my 95 year old mum Parking was awful and only parking we could see was on the staff parking so I did not dare park there I had to find a street to park in and walk my mum who struggles with her mobility When I mentioned it at the reception desk she said that you can park anywhere This is not clear as the signs say staff parking only This needs to be rectified as if you are not familiar with the parking it’s hard to know it’s ok to park there

  6. Review titled No treatment and little advice available

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 04 August 2023

I had an accident and couldn't walk. There is a self-booking in system at the entrance which I had to stand at for several minutes. The options for symptoms were not exact and I chose the closest. I then had to stand (on one leg!) and wait to be booked in at reception. The wait for Triage wasn't long, though the wait for treatment was over two hours. Nurses were friendly, but I didn't receive any advice or treatment. I had to ask what they thought I had done and how to treat it, then I searched on the internet on my return home.

  7. Review titled Appointment frustration

Rated 3 stars out of 5

I received letter on 18/6/23 from adult rheumatology regarding an appointment you would be sending. If not heard by the 13th of June 2023. I was to contact you on the appointments number. I have tried this number over 30 times in the last two days to make this appointment. As you have not contacted me I am unable to make any appointment and in whatever way I have tried to contact the rheumatology department through. I have just been referred to the same number which cuts me off and does not give me any options of a person to speak to. I find it extremely frustrating and would appreciate the opportunity to make an appointment with you as requested by my GP.
