After waiting 4 years for an appointment with pain management I was given a phone appointment. I thought this was going to be for where my pain was then I would get an in clinic appointment to discuss ways of helping me manage the pain. But that wasn't the case after ringing me late, I was told that as I couldn't take painkillers little could be done. I then suggested hydrotherapy or physio therapy and was told perhaps I could get in touch with my doctor myself and only after saying it was hard to get that without a referral was o told the doctor would do it. That was the entire appointment no follow-up nothing. The whole conversation lasted less than minutes. Very disappointed.

I have just got home from having a camera down. I was treated so kindly. I requested sedation and whilst quite uncomfortable , the procedure was completed very quickly Thank you DrBJ . The nurses were so lovely and the cup of tea and biscuits were well received. Thank you all.

  3. Review titled A lot better than expected

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Jennifer - Posted on 19 March 2024

In all honesty I have not been happy with the procedure my mother had at Good Hope to replace a pacemaker - she has had a number of complications since it was fitted - and at the actual fitting lost a lot of blood and subsequently fainted at home - This was concerning as she had a pacemaker fitted for over 10 years - fitted at Solihull hospital and had no such problems - Arriving early for an 08.20 appointment there was some confusion with timing - this was dealt with very quicky and Mom was then seen and had a very thorough appointment. She was given clear, detailed and assuring support provided by the cardiology team yesterday - I would say it was second to none. Most of my mothers fears were heard and responded to - following the process - she felt very faint and I had to hold her up before she fell to the floor - I called for help and was given help immediately including help from the wider cardiology team - who came with a wheel chair and re-checked her blood pressure and pace maker etc and all was as fine as it could be - after something to eat and drink whilst still on site - Mom began to feel a lot better - so just wanted to say well-done to the team members we saw today and in particular to the cariology specialist who we had the original appointment with. Well-done all

  6. Review titled Caring health care professional

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I attended a Sunday morning appointment on an 2 ww after my GP found a lump in my breast. The lady who took the mammogram was excellent. She was calm and caring and the mammogram was carried out with expertise. The next stop was with a lady who carried out an ultrasound, again, she was a very kind person who put me at my ease. Finally, I saw a doctor who assured me that nothing sinister had been detected. The whole process went very smoothly with minimum waiting times. I was very pleased with the care I received.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Thank you so much for looking after me. I have sadly had to use the service a few times in the last year and there is one nurse in particular who has been utterly fabulous each time but I can’t use names in this review 🤷‍♀️. What an absolute asset s@ndr@ is to the hospital. G@ry the dr went above and beyond for me. Really appreciate the professional care that was given to me. Especially in such difficult circumstances and clear lack of resources. Can’t thank you enough 🥰
