Review titled Terrible disabled parking problems
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 29 November 2023
For disabled parking when you eventually manage to find a car space (25 minutes wasted) and then find a ticket machine youre only then told to go back to your car and get your blue badge and then go all the way to the front kiosk to show your badge. Having gone back to the car and got the blue badge and then off to the front kiosk it was closed anyway. Terrible set up to a- not inform disabled people they need to attend the kiosk with their badge before they get to the ticket machine and then b- request disabled people walk all the way to the kiosk and back with their badge. must be a better system.

I experienced the best care ever while having my baby at the hospital. The midwives were extremely hands on with both me and my baby. The 5 days we spent at the hospital were amazing, until today I remember my amazing pregnancy experience until I was discharged with baby because it was amazing.

Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Christine Mckeon - Posted on 23 November 2023
I was recently admitted to the madu ward of Frimley park hospital, and I would like to say a big thankyou to all the staff there for their kindness and brilliant care. They made my stay as comfortable as they possibly could and they all worked their socks off. I had some lovely chats to a nurse who was on a placement, and I hope they manage to keep hold of her as she was fantastic. They are all a credit to the nhs ,once again thankyou for my care.

Review titled Problems with ventilation and plumbing
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Rob Mellor - Posted on 12 December 2023
Having just spent a number of days in the Cardiac Ward thought it may be helpful to add a few comments regarding the service provisions in the ward. Clearly there is a problem with the ventilation and extraction insofar the the staff resort to opening the fire door for periods of time. This results in some patients feeling comfortable whilst others remain cold. The toilets and showers need refurbishing with one out of order(which I reported. Also my wife and daughter thought there was a smell of urine when they first walked in. I cannot confirm this as I have no sense of smell. But having said all that, the care was excellent and the catering 5Star.

Dear Rob, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your recent experience of care at Frimley Health. Please accept my apologies on behalf of the Trust for the issues with the environment you encountered on the ward. I will share your feedback with the Estates and Facilities team who will I am sure follow up on and investigate the points you raise. I am sure you are aware that for issues of this nature it may be that there are no ‘quick fixes’ that can be applied but at least there will be a greater awareness of the issues which may lead to escalation up the ‘priorities’ list. I was delighted to read that you rated all the other aspects of your care as ‘excellent’ and that the catering was to your satisfaction. I will share your feedback with the teams involved in these aspects of delivering the experience. Kind regards, Alex Jackson, Patient Experience Manager, Frimley Health Foundation Trust

Came to A&E with abdominal pain around 10.30pm. Somebody took my blood sample and blood pressure straight away.Next time I was seen at 4.00am by a practitioner who then decided to take my urine sample. Still waiting with pain at 6.00 am. Wondering when actually somebody will be able to help.

Review titled Fantastic support Pediatrics A&E during strike
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Mariska - Posted on 07 October 2023
My son and I had a visit at the pediatrics a&e on 5th of October after he had a seizure at school. It was extremely busy and I think the staff was quite overwhelmed but they were absolutely brilliant. Our best experience with an a&e in the uk! Our nurse was extremely thorough, quick and provided us with constant updates and was really reassuring. Same experience with the doctor. I do not know how they managed it all because it was insanely busy but it was incredibly well managed. Also the décor in the a&e really helped calm my son, he did not find it scary at all and actually thought it was the best place ever. Extremely impressed with our experience!

Review titled Outstanding paediatric care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Sarah Macleod - Posted on 11 September 2023
I cannot speak highly enough of the team in the Children's Emergency Department. During a recent trip with my 3 year old, who was experiencing some complications with chicken pox, each and every staff member that we encountered was outstanding. We were seen within minutes, reassured and given a bubble machine to keep us entertained while we waited for the doctor! Their warmth, patience and humour was much appreciated.

Review titled Some shortcomings worth consideration
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Janet Coulson - Posted on 10 October 2023
Dad was admitted and found to have had a mini stroke. Placed on g3 where he stayed for 6 days. Couple of issues.. he had meals given to him that he clearly hadnt been consulted about. Given mushroom soup (hated mushrooms) loved fruit crumble and custard which was on the menu and yet he was given sliced apple and grapes. He had dementia so my guess was that they werent fully asking him and giving him enough time to process a correct response. Once we realised these issues, we ordered the food for him. We arrived a couple of times to find an untouched tray of food in front of him. Sadly my father was blind and no-one had bothered to assist with his eating. We then visited Dad to co-incide with meal times! Dad was discharged after 6 days and managed to last a further 3 days before being re-admitted by caring and compassionate ambulance staff where he was placed on ward f10 for end of life care. Sadly he passed away after just 3 days. I know these are only small issues but hopefully by reviewing our experiences, this usually well thought of hospital can make improvements that will help both patient and families hoping their loved one will be well loved after.

Rapid Response Had to make a visit to the A&E department late on Saturday 16/9/23 with sudden chest pain. Once registered, the Triage nurse took my BP, Bloods and ECG. When the blood results returned I was seen by the Doctor who explained that one of the blood tests was showing a high reading which indicated that I may have had an emboli. He commenced blood thinners injection and admitted me The follow day a CT Scan confirmed his diagnosis that I had pulmonary emboli in both lungs. I was put on blood thinners medication and discharged on 19/09/23. My treatment by the medical team was excellent I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all (Doctors & Nurses)
