On Christmas Day I was taken by ambulance to A&E at Darenth Valley , right from the paramedics who came to my home and took me to the hospital to the kindest most caring nurses and a very efficient hard working doctor , everyone was amazing . I was seen immediately ,the care I was given was outstanding from every person I saw , The guy that took my bloods was a pro didnt even feel it ,and the nurse who looked after me was kind gentle and full of compassion. The doctor wasted no time in diagnosing me and getting antibiotics and fluids into me . Every single person I saw was amazing and a credit to the hospital. Im so thankful for every single one of these special human beings . I could not have asked to be treated any better ,Fast , caring and efficient Well done to you all your brilliant Xxxxxxxxxx

I’ve just returned from an appointment with a breast surgeon at the Empress Unit. I was so impressed by the friendliness of all the staff, but especially grateful for the delightful doctor who examined me. He was charming and put me at ease immediately, gave me a thorough explanation of all the test results and put my mind at rest. What a lovely guy, definitely in the right job. Thanks so much.

After signing in to Reception I had a bit of a wait to be triaged. Eventually was triaged and then sent for blood tests. The Doctor who looked after me was so kind and considerate. I had a breathing problem and a really bad cough. She looked after me with so much care for my well-being. I forgot that I had waited so long but it was made bearable with the care from my wonderful Doctor. Sent home with medicine to recover.

I dislocated my elbow on 22nd November 2023 and attended Darent Valley Hospital A&E and Urgent Treatment Centre. My elbow joint was put back into the socket and a half plaster cast was made to prevent movement of the elbow. I was seen again on Wednesday 29th November 2023 and I saw a Consultant and my elbow was X-Rayed again. Everything is looking good and I'm hoping that the cast will be removed at my next appointment which is on Wednesday 6th December 2023. I want to thank all of the hospital staff who provided such excellent treatment to me - Orthopaedic Consultants, Nurses, X-Ray Technicians, Hospital Porters, Reception Personnel and all the unseen personnel looking after the facilities, providing such a clean and safe environment. Thank you for the medical expertise as well as the wonderful way that I was treated by every member of staff that I encountered during my emergency visit and the follow up appointment(s). I am so grateful for the help that you have given me in such a positive and friendly manner. Your smiles will stay with me long after the elbow has repaired itself. Had to go the Empress dept today for a mammogram as part of the programme for having a family link to the disease. From entering the hospital (greeters) receptionist in the department to the staff doing the mammogram, everything ran like clockwork. Appointment was on tume, all staff were lovely and helpful and considerate. Cannot praise their services enough!

My child recently had to visit the children’s A&E department which resulted in an overnight stay on the children’s ward. We had a pleasant stay and the doctors and nurses were amazing however I did struggle with ordering food for my child, my child is dairy free due to an allergy and on the menu it doesn’t explicitly state which foods are free from allergens.

I was waiting innline for hours then some people just came talked to the docter and the docter let them infront of us i was waiting’s for 10 hours

From discovering a lump in my right breast 6 weeks ago, to having the lump removed this morning, I have recieved a 5star treatment from everyone at the Empress unit and Surgical admissions lounge Everyone has been kind, considerate, professional and loving Thank you everyone You all made easier for me and very very very Quick!!!! I walked into a&e this evening feeling very scared after having some high blood pressure readings. I’d rang 111 and someone was supposed to have called me back and they never did. Within 2 hours I’m travelling back home with meds, and prescription and advice. I was quite upset and worked up which wasn’t helping the blood pressure machine. But the staff were so caring and put me at ease. Big thank you for helping me this evening.
