Attended with my son on Sunday 31st March after trapping his hand in a car door. He was bleeding very badly. We were told they were very busy & it would be a long wait. There were about 4 x people waiting, 3 x young children (2 of which were running around and playing very happily). I asked for water so my son could take pain relelief and there was none available anywhere, but we didn't get any. A lad who'd been sat there for over 2 x hours after being punched in the face went in & came out saying he had to go to Stepping Hill. We were seen after approx an hour and he actually got some water. We were then told he couldn't be x-rayed & we'd have to go to Stepping Hill. We could have been informed upon arrival and have already been at Stepping Hill receiving treatment.! Terrible service and get a water facility installed. It's an emergency care facility..! It's common practice to treat people in order of the emergency/presenting symptoms. A young man bleeding very badly should be triaged before a kid running around happily with a sore throat

I can't thank the staff here enough,They we're extremely professional but at the same time made me feel very relaxed. In my case there professionalism showed when they made the perfect call on my condition, a call later commented on and praised by an ENT doctor. The staff at buxton went the extra mile and got me on the mend from a very painful condition and also followed up with a phone call and another appointment. Can't thank and praise them enough.

I had fallen down stairs prior to coming to cottage hospital on 15/2/2024 , I had sustain back injury which the hospital refused to do an x-ray and would have to go back to stepping hill hospital for just a x ray on my lower back . Overall service was poor . The nurse practitioner who I had seen was rude , not inquisitive, unhelpful and impolite . Would not recommend this hospital . Need to improve patient care

I was received by a very friendly and helpful receptionist and seen by a paramedic within 15 minutes. He was very sympathetic and professional. A great communicator. Problem discussed and treated promptly. A man of great social as well as surgical skills. I was put at my ease and made to feel that I would be welcome to return with any further issues I could not have expected any better treatment if I had been a private patient!

Excellent service as usual. Attended with an elbow injury was seen and out in just over an hour. The staff here are amazing and so caring.

I would like to thank the nurses who assessed and treated me with exceptional level of care and compassion in the urgent care centre. They were professional, friendly and understanding and fully reassured me.

On Saturday morning, I turned up with a long flesh wound to the head. I was attended to quickly and efficiently, and in a very friendly manner. Thank you all – from reception to nurses. I could not have asked for a better service.

Receptionist friendly and helpful, good directions to waiting area. All areas clean and masks worn at all times. Staff very helpful and understanding. Excellent, would recommend.

I arrived at the MIU late on a Sunday evening with a damaged foot. Was seen very quickly and immediately diagnosed with a suspected fracture. The nurse was extremely helpful and friendly. Fitted with a boot and advised to go to Macclesfield general for an X-ray. The diagnostic was spot on. Such a wonderful facility to have in Buxton Thank you 🙏🏿
