  1. Review titled Diabolical service

Rated 1 star out of 5

Having had a 24 hour monitor 4/5 weeks ago and having a heart condition, the results from that period is still not available, to me or my GP. When asked to post it in a box, when returning the monitor, I had a feeling I might never know what and if the results were. So scarey, my future health is in their hands!

  2. Review titled Poor ventilation in the Hospital

Rated 3 stars out of 5

I have to visit regular either for myself or taking another. Despite Covid reminders, wash your hands, etc etc there is never any windows open in any of the waiting areas or examination rooms, this is basics and not acceptable. I attended the Chest Xray dept, pain clinic, Physio and eye clinic over the last few months for myself or taking a friend for an apt. Windows are always closed despite Fresh air being highly recommended to reduce the risk of Covid & especially now very few Staff wear masks. You are asked to fill in forms giving feed back but these are ignored! I must have put several in but no change to Ventilation in the depts.

I had a Colonoscopy 28th June 2022 The staff were marvelous from start to finish and I cannot praise or thank them enough. Although I did send them a "Thank You" card I was so happy with the care. Joan Hamilton Bridlington

  4. Review titled Acts of compassion by staff.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Firstly let me point out that I’m not leaving this review as a patient, but as someone who was accompanying a relation to an out patients appointment. Whilst sat in my car waiting for my mother who was attending an appointment at the eye clinic today, I witnessed not one but two kind acts of compassion by two separate female members of staff. The first was a nurse in the eye clinic who came outside to help an elderly patient who seemed a little anxious and confused. It looked like she was trying to telephone a relative who was obviously picking her up, but she had no credit on her phone left to make the call. The young nurse approached the woman to offer her assistance and on finding out she had no credit, very kindly took her inside to make the call for her, saying that she would rather do that than have the patient wandering around outside unable to help herself. Secondly, another elderly female patient was very tentatively making her way to the eye clinic entrance, but was obviously finding the walking a little difficult. One of the female Ambulance Service personnel, (I think Patient Transport Service), was walking in the same direction, stopped to ask the lady how she was and then offered her arm to assist her into the building. Just one of these kind acts I witnessed made my day, but two within an hour really strengthened my faith in the commitment and compassion your NHS staff have to their jobs. I didn’t get the names of the two members of staff, but if you could pass this on to the relevant departments to let them know their acts did not go unnoticed, it would be gratefully appreciated. Both of them are a real credit to the hospital.
