  1. Review titled Terrible service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Connor - Posted on 22 April 2024

My stepson is in hospital and they have treated him in a very bad state. I am not happy the way his little foot has gone due to them not rapping it up he has pulled it out and we told the nurse to come and check it and they took it out and left him for about 1 hour and 30 minutes. The service has to be provided in more common sense as my step is important to u and he need to get better. Provide more nurses to go round the whole ward and sort yourselves out

  2. Review titled Excellent

We attended early on a Wednesday morning. I had excellent treatment from every member of the team that I dealt with. They were so busy, but kept me updated and were so friendly, really put my mind at rest as well as dealing with my medical issue. Thank you.

  3. Review titled Kind and caring A&E team

Rated 5 stars out of 5

There was no wait to be triaged and I was seen in under 5 minutes, given strong pain relief and the triage nurse then personally wheeled me to the consultant’s area where I was looked after with great care and kindness. I was given 2 X-Rays and a CT scan. I was given further pain relief when the first medication wore off and I was then thoroughly assessed by 2 professional ladies who wanted to be satisfied that I could return home and carry on living independently and safely, with the right pain relief, or whether they would need to keep me in hospital for a few days whilst they arranged a support package before sending me home. The assessors were happy that I could still cope on my own with the right pain relief and I was able to return home the same day with instructions to contact my GP for additional medication, as needed. Throughout my whole time at Bedford Hospital South Wing, I was treated with great care, consideration and kindness and the whole A&E team did a thorough job of investigating the causes of my pain. Very impressed how "joined up" the whole treatment was. Triage, doctor, X-Ray, CT scan, home assessors, medication prescription. A seamless experience. Thank you to everyone involved in my care.

  4. Review titled Caring, thoughtful clinical staff and a careful procedure

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I couldn't fault my experience of this service - a GP referral which was picked up and dealt with within a week, with 2 appointments, all with understanding and caring staff. Both times, the clinicians explained the procedures really carefully and clearly really care. Thank you to the NHS team - we are a lucky country X

  6. Review titled Faultless A&E Experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by H Dhinsa - Posted on 02 April 2024

I fell and banged my head and shoulder, resulting in concussion like symptoms. I had seen a GP and optician but a few weeks later I was still suffering. I arrived at A&E lunchtime, mid week and the service I received was faultless. We are prone to endlessly complaining about the NHS but where else in the world could you turn up at a hospital, see a nurse, then a Dr, have a CT scan and the results, all within 3 hours, then pay not a penny. Everyone I came into contact with was professional, empathetic and thorough, so a heartfelt thanks to all, from the receptionists through to the CT scan operator and the Doctor. We do not value what we have and risk losing it all to commercialism and privatisation. Long live the NHS!

I was called in early to have my pacemaker replaced. Everyone was very kind and told me what was happening. The procedure went well.

  9. Review titled Pharmacy

So waiting was over an hour. The idea was to herd lots of sick people into a small waiting room and make them wait for over an hour while they catch something else. Loads of people appeared to be working behind the glass - how on earth can it take them so long?

  10. Review titled Excellent A@E staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by ANGELO FREDA - Posted on 01 February 2024

Called 999, 10 mins later ambulance arrived. Waited approx I hour withtreatment from doctor and ambulance crew. Was transferred to another ambulance where crew were also amazing. Finally was admitted to a busy A&E, I was monitored, Xrayed and prescribed Medication. Throughout this traumatic experience for me, at all times I received support and treatment from efficient, dedicated people, who were so busy, left for home at 11.00pm feeling so grateful for the staff working for the NHS. It was definitely an eye opener as I had no idea of the pressure they were under and how professionally they dealt with it. Thank you
