Having recently had my second cataract operation. I would like to say what a pleasurable experience the whole, at first daunting episode, have turned out to be. On first entering Axminster Hospital the atmosphere was of a happy, friendly, team working together. I was kept informed of what was happening at every moment of the day, the procedures carefully explained and well briefed on my own after care. I can now see a much brighter world and I am very grateful. Top marks Axminster.

Had surgery for cataract on 20/3/23.All the staff were friendly and professional from start to completion.They explained in detail every step of the procedure and made my experience a good one.I would like to thank the consultant and all the nursing staff,you all did a great job,thankyou all very much.

Every member of staff was exemplary in caring for all the patients. We were kept informed of progress when a power cut caused a long delay. Thank you all very much.

I visited Axminster hospital to see someone from Healthcare for Older people on Friday. Everyone was amazing, from the receptionist who signed me in, the nurse who conducted the pre appointment procedure, and then the doctor I saw. I came away feeling positive, having been treated with the utmost respect, and reassured that everything I had wanted to say was listened to and not dismissed as insignificant. I can't fault the treatment I received and hope you will pass on my comments to the appropriate members of staff. Thank you so much 👏.

I attended the opthalmology outpatients clinic supporting my elderly mother (she is 99 and very frail). The nurses could not have been kinder. Very professional consultant. BUT the staff were struggling with a lack of appropriate chairs to allow my mother to use the scanner! A simple piece of equipment but it meant that 4 nurses were tied up physically holding my mum during her assessment. A waste of skilled nurses time, uncomfortable and scary for the patient and increased close contact during times of covid. Please, please get some more chairs!!

I would just like to record my thanks to the doctors, nurses and support team at Axminster hospital. What a great service from start to finish for my cataract surgery yesterday. From arrival at the hospital the whole team made me feel at ease and fully explained what would happen during the surgery. The whole procedure was expertly carried out in a friendly and professional way and follow up appointments were booked. I was anxious about the cataract surgery beforehand but the way it was managed made it easier for me than a trip to the dentist. I have no hesitation in returning for my second eye's cataract repair as soon as possible. A huge thank you to the Axminster hospital team for your care and skill yesterday.
