Extended Access

We offer Saturday afternoon telephone consultations with Dr Ahmed between 4pm and 8pm every Saturday. These usually deal with anything that need not be dealt with in a face to face consultation, for examplke medication queries, test results, general advice and absence from work.

Please ask at reception if you wish to book a weekend appointment.

Flu season is almost upon us again! We will be sending out invitations by text and by post to all those eligible to have a vaccination. Please do take this offer up as numbers dropped last year during which we then saw an increase in the number of vulnerable patients catching influenza. If you suffer from a long term condition such as asthma, diabetes etc you are more at risk of becoming very unwell so please do consider having the vaccine. Carers and those over 65 are our priority. We already have clinics on screen- just call and book. On 7th October we will have a saturday morning clinic for those who can;t attend on a week day.

New Practice Manager

I am the new practice manager at Hillview having worked in Weston Super Mare for many years. I am really excited to be working with the Hillview team and together we aim to move the practice forward in order to improve the service we provide our patients.

Over the coming months, you may notice quite a few differences in the way we approach our work: our reception team will be trained to signpost you to the appropriate clinician in order to ensure you receive speedy treatmnt. This may be a nurse, a pharmacist or a GP but you can be assured you will be treated in a timely manner.

We will be employing a prescription clerk to deal with all prescription queries and requests and we will also be working on a new appointments system which will ease the pressure on doctors and patients alike.

I hope that you will bear with us during what will be challenging times ahead. I do operate an open door policy and will be happy to speak to any of our patients who may want to talk to me. Just ask at reception. I am the first port of call for complaints and suggestions too, so please do ask for me!

I am also looking for keen patients who want to help move the practice forward with us and who can be involved in this process. Please let me know if you are at all interested in joining a patient representative group. Nothing too time consuming I promise! Please ask for me at reception if you wish to chat about this.
