I have been registered with this surgery for about 8 years and it used to be great. Helpful staff, you could always get through and see a doctor when needed. However, over the past year, it has become one of the worst practices I have ever experienced. You can never get through on the telephone. When you do - after holding for 30-45 minutes - there are no appointments left and the receptionists - who must also feel frustrated - are unhelpful. I understand that they have lost a few doctors, but what is being done to replace them? I only use the surgery when necessary, which is not often, but if I do, it's because I am genuinely unwell. What are people meant to do if there is no place that will provide medical care sufficiently without causing more frustration and stress? It is not right to treat people like this. Please do something about this woeful service.

Dear Patient, Thank you for taking the time to give feedback, this is appreciated so that we can learn from issues and events. We have recently had a new phone system which will hopefully help stop this. Unfortunately Dr Foord has retired and loosing a GP that works so hard four days a week has a huge impact! We also have had a couple of other GP's move on. We have recruited one GP already and we have another 2 GP's joining us in the New Year. However, the demand is unprecedented and although we add appointments, they fill immediately. We offer patients the choice of F2F or phone call appointments to try and fit in with lifestyle and commitments. Sadly, we still encounter up to 5 people not attending a day. I can assure you that our team is working very hard to try and give our patients the service they deserve. If you would like to discuss this further please log onto towerhousesurgery.com and complete a comments/feedback form. Many thanks Beth Sergiou Practice Manager

  2. Review titled Dependable & Professional

In the second half of 2022 , over approximately 4 - 6 months I experienced a bout of deep depression. All staff at Tower House Surgery were extremely helpful, understanding & accessible. I do not generally fill in reviews etc.. but I wanted to send my gratitude to all members of staff at the surgery, without the service they provided I feel I would have struggled to be in the position where my issues are far less pronounced & do not affect my mental health/happiness at this point. I am relieved that regardless of the current financial/societal pressures on the NHS the surgery had been able to provide me, personally, such a great service.

Dear Anonymous, Thank you for your feedback, I will most definitely pass this on to the whole team. Sadly, we have a large number of patients going through what you have and we are trying extremely hard to give everyone the care and support you deserve. This can be difficult due to the financial and societal issues you mentioned but we, as a team will continue to give the best service we can. Many thanks Beth Sergiou Practice Manager
