  3. Review titled Improving Practice

Rated 4 stars out of 5

After being a patient at St werburgh for over 16 years , we've seen some massive changes, in recent years the surgery has been less than perfect , very challenging at times to see a GP. in recent months there has been a vast improvement, both with receptionists an caliber of DRs available. The phone system is awful and always has a message about staff sickness which we can only assume is a chosen message to excuse the long wait for calls to be answered. The Dr's and health workers have been good, recent blood tests and flu jab were carried out exceptionally well as was a speedy referal to a hospital in recent weeks.

  4. Review titled Lack of care

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Pam - Posted on 08 August 2023

Have been trying to get an appointment for days with this surgery. I have been unable to get repeat medication for a chronic diagnosed illness without a gp consultation. Have called again today determined to sort the problem out. Called at 8.45 and was 25 in queue. By 10.49 I was number 1 in the system. At this point the system cut me off for me to start the process again. I have been in the queue since 10.50 and still in the queue. I am appalled, yet again, by this organisations lack of care and its disinterest for patients and patient care. Aspire are not the greatest in my humble opinion and I did not believe they could get any worse unfortunately I was wrong. No surprise our local A & E is overwhelmed, all the peninsular patients are probably all there.

  5. Review titled Excellant organisation for flu injections

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Robert Mitchell - Posted on 24 September 2023

For flu injection very good, but generally trying to book an appointment is totally another matter. Telephone appointments after 45 min hanging on to suurgery only to be told there were no more available , not once but every time. Very frustrating.

  7. Review titled The personification of incompetence

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Michael David Waller - Posted on 29 June 2022

Trying to get an appointment at this practice is virtually impossible. Phones are answered by machine, then into a queue, up to an hour wait to find no appointments available. Visit to make an appointment and the receptionist will say book by phone ! Complained about the service to the receptionist who had no interest at all. If this practice were a private business they would go bankrupt with such inept management. with the every increasing population and ageing existing patients the local residents deserve a service that works and delivers. This practice fails at the first hurdle. It would be impossible to recommend their service to anyone. Anybody with a chronic condition would be likely to die first
