  1. Review titled Always helpful and caring

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Unfortunately I have used the surgery a lot over the last few months. But everyone I have dealt with has been very caring and given clear help and advice. The reception staff often maligned are some of the best!

I have been a patient of the practice for 18 years and it is truly wonderful example of a compassionate, proactive and organised surgery. All the staff are incredibly professional and caring - a big thank you from my family for all that you do.

  3. Review titled Great service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Ant Gee - Posted on 01 February 2023

I contacted Schopwick after having had some high blood pressure readings. I called to arrange an appointment with the doctor and was seen the next day. He arranged for an ECG to be done and also took my blood pressure readings and asked me to take them regularly over the next 2 weeks. I then had a phone consultation with him and he prescribed a medication. A month later, and another phone consultation done, he has renewed my prescription and is very pleased with the results. His care and dietary advice in this case was exactly what I needed and I feel so much better knowing the attention I have received. Over the 20 years or so my family has been with the practice we have always appreciated the friendly receptionists making appointments (which were never more than a few days later) and have always been extremely happy with our treatment. We know we are lucky to have Schopwick

  4. Review titled Joined Up Medicin

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Howard Guard - Posted on 06 March 2023

Following a proceedure I suspected I had a UTI and contacted Schopwick on a same day call. The Doctor insisted I visit and he saw me at the end of his surgery, confirmed the infection and concerned it might rise into my abdomen referred me to the senior partner who immediately prescribed antibiotics. He also arranged to me to visit the next day with a urine sample and a face to face with another doctor. The next day a third doctor checked the result - all three consultations were face to face. At the end I returned to the first doctor for an overview. Throughouut I felt very well cared for and likened it to Joinded Up Medicin at it's best. Many thanks to the four practishioners involved.

  6. Review titled basically refused me treatment.

Rated 1 star out of 5

asked to see a GP and was told "We don't have any" I am having pelvic pain when I walk, receptionist gave a an appointment for a physio which I have seen in the past and told me " I do not treat or touch people" told me to go home and it will go away on it's own. asked to see a GP or an orthopaedic specialist and was told they do not have GP that can see me. Receptionist raised her voice on me which I do not appreciate at all, when a person s in pain he needs to be listened to and treated, sub stabdard service.

  7. Review titled The practice is 5 star in my books

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Steven Davies - Posted on 20 October 2022

I cannot thank the practice and especially our usual gp yesterday Thursday, November for the fantastic treatment and advice given when diagnosed with covid and being immunosuppressed. After a lengthy talk with my gp she said t’s probably nothing serious but her concerns were that my airways were constricting and if it hadn’t got better in about an hour then to call 999. We left it a couple of hours and decided to call 999 where the call Center stayed on line till the rapid response vehicle arrived about 6 minutes after making the call. Initially the gp had referred me on Sunday for antiviral treatment as I’m immunosuppressed and was entitled to have the antivirals for covid. The practice is renowed throughout the area as being one of the best. All the staff from reception to doctors to ancillary services and are great and always with a welcoming smile. Sure they have been inundated during the pandemic but now have an even larger team of doctors in place and is also a renowned teaching practice. In fact 18 years ago the gp at the time got things moving for tests and I was diagnosed with leukaemia with in 2 days. Thank you Schopwick

  9. Review titled Kind and caring

Rated 5 stars out of 5

My mother in law has been a patient at this practice since the 1980s. She is now moving area and therefore is leaving the practice. I should like to say that the GPS who have cared for her and my late father in law have been kind, considerate and always given them time and made them feel that time is not an issue. The gp who has looked after her has called me to check in to check she is ok. They have considered her and the family together with her medical needs. Thank you. We shall miss you.

  10. Review titled Good doctor, average practice

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 02 September 2022

I saw one of the doctors with my son and daughter and he was absolutely phenomenal! Extremely patient, thorough and efficient. He made them feel listened to and did the referral we needed immediately! He was a breath of fresh air as so many doctors nowadays do not have the time to be so meticulous. However, the receptionists there were not so helpful and were actually rather rude when arranging appointments etc. It is a shame because it does put you off and if not for that doctor, it would have been a totally less than average experience.
