I have been a patient here for a while, i have seen a few changes recently but the staff are always trying to help to the best they can. The receptionist are friendly and try their best to help and fit me in if possible.

Review titled Disappointing online prescription service

I can't fault the surgery itself, it's a great practice. But 3 out the last 4 times I've requested a repeat prescription online they've got it wrong. Each time requesting 2 of an item and only receiving 1! Clearly stating on the form that 2 are needed but they never call or contact me to check or clarify. I wonder if they ever read them properly!

Have all the patients gotten worse or is the surgery going downhill? This was a leading light surgery in recent years and yet now seems very little different to any other surgery in West Sussex, what a shame, the waiting time to see a GP has gone from very good ie 1 to 2 days to now hardly ever getting an appointment within 5 to 7 days!! Reason??? Well as over 50% of the patients are greeted with a telephone call GP service since the aftermath of the Covid period you would feel the Gp's should be more efficient and faster but alas that's not the situation. What a shame , Maybe its time to review the opening hours and the practice time the surgery shuts for training and meetings like in business these should be outside normal working days.

Walked into surgery reception this week with no appointment but potentially serious problem. Explained to receptionist. Within 15 minutes was with my registered doctor. Was given full examination. Serious issue ruled out. Was given appropriate medicine which I was taking at home within hours. I was deeply impressed with this excellent response giving the lie to much bad press GP surgeries have had lately. Thanks to all, especially my doctor whom I understand I shouldn't name in this feedback. You know who you are doc!

Repeat medication I request, is sometimes not supplied and I am never told why. If I tell them that a particular medication is not available, they still order it and I am left having to find an alternative myself. I need urgent treatment for a suspected cancer and they have been good at quickly organising scans, but they have got themselves very confused and have requested duplicates. Information about tests is not made available online and, in the absence of this and any communication from a GP, I believe I need an urgent biopsy, but no one seems to listen. I just don't feel that anyone is taking any real interest in my treatment and, because my treatment is being tossed between different GP's, who don't have time to read the full facts, a lot of confusion is arising and possible mistakes are being made. I feel completely left out of any discussions about my treatment and worried that my cancer might spread before treatment.

I experienced excellent help from the staff on reception today-thank you. I was able to sort out my prescription quickly at another local pharmacy. As ever, doctor & reception staff helpful, courteous & accessible.

A suspected serious issue was sorted out with an immediate appointment, exam and hospital tests etc within 24 hours, medication was prescribed and is repeatable online. The new clinic building is a bit of an improvement on the portacabin Dr. ***** first worked from 30 years ago!!
