  1. Review titled Not accommodating special needs

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 08 December 2022

Called to book an appointment for my son who has SEN. Was informed that since changing systems on 17 October reception can no longer accommodate disabled patients who can not call at 8 am sharp. Being a single parent to a child with complex disability it’s impossible for me to call at 8 am. When my son is with me, he doesn’t tolerate the phone being on speaker and it’s the time in the morning that I get him ready for for the day or for school transport. My hands are literally and physically on him and I can’t hold the phone. As a result now that my son is unwell he can not get an appointment, at all. This practice makes Gp services inaccessible for my disabled son who requires, at least, medical support . Please resolve that asap

  2. Review titled so poor and honestly quite shocking

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Marwa - Posted on 18 November 2022

I always and I mean always make appointments on my 60 year old mothers behalf who is not able to speak fluent English. I got informed to go on doctor Iq in which I did and submitted her telephone consultation. I went to university to hear my mum crying because she hasn’t been called. When I contacted the gp they said that because she is an adult I cannot make an appointment on her behalf. I have done this may times on dr Iq but this is by the most unbelievable thing I have ever heard. Prior to finding out about her call being cancelled I was on the phone during my class break for the staff to not even give me a definite answer. They went from asking me to upload the photos to then telling me that my mother is a grown adult and has to make appointments herself. Honestly this was extremely poor coming from a practice I have been going to since the age of 5.

  3. Review titled Terrible system

Rated 1 star out of 5

Since covid the practice implemented the use of the app dr-iq, which is an absolute nightmare. You only have very limited spots per day to use most services and so even if you're asking for a routine appointment (i.e. you don't need to have a response that day) you have to try over and over again until you click the right buttons every morning at 7am sharp. On the other hand, if you do have an emergency make sure you have it before 7am in the morning, otherwise there is no way you can contact your gp. Even my cat's veterinary clinic has a better system.

  4. Review titled Bad administration, inconsistent health advice

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 13 October 2022

The admin of this practice seems to be very messy. I don't have to use the GP often but every time I had to it was a painful process. Examples include: multiple blood test referrals where the wrong tests were requested by the practice, arriving at the hospital for a referral without the information/request form from the practice having been sent over, needing to visit the practice in person to request a blood test even though usually that is not necessary, multiple visits to the practice needed to even get registered, etc. Furthermore, depending on who I talk to I get completely opposite advice about the significance of a certain high value in a blood test. These experiences first of all take a lot of unnecessary time because of useless trips to the practice/hospital but more importantly do not make me feel like my health is in the hands of professionals.

  5. Review titled Incredibly rude reception staff

Rated 1 star out of 5

I had a very unplesant experiance with the practice. Wanted to order my repeat prescription online only to find out I was no longer a patient at the practice. When I called to question this, I was told a request has been made last year to remove me from the patient list. When I asked which practice… no response.Because I never enrolled elsewhere. No one informed me that I was no longer a patient here even thought they had all my details on record.I’m in the process of enrolling in the area I live now but the audacity the reception staff has its beyond belief. To add to this unpleasant experience the lady who answered the call decided to end our conversation with “oh shut up” and hang up the phone. I was informed by the new practice I’m the process of enrolling at, that no practice in the uk can take you off their patients list without a request from the new gp. So how did this happen? So without explanation, I’m currently without a gp for the time being until the paperwork is dealt with at the new practice. Consider changing your admin staff so things like this don’t happen again.

  6. Review titled Receptionist: very bad customer service skills

Rated 1 star out of 5

by KWC - Posted on 05 September 2022

Sept 5, 2022(approx 14:45) - called the clinic to re-book a referred blood test; the receptionist who picked up my call sounded like she wanted to get me off the phone as soon as possible and could not care less. I started by explaining the situation in a couple of sentences and she replied with "Sorry?". I asked to clarify which part she missed." Instead of answering she responded by asking for my birth year. Throughout the phone call, she kept talking over me and sounded like she was about to hang up after each sentence. She tried to end the phone call with "We'll send you a text message with a link sometime this week". I wanted to let her know that I saw an appt for the following day and it's one I'd like to go to. She talked over me once again and said "ok fine fine". The call concluded with the acknowledgment that I will be receiving that link via text (since she didn't offer to book it for me). I had still not yet received said SMS 3hrs later so I had to call again. Thank goodness though - this time, a different operator answered and the link was sent to me within 5mins. Thinking back, the first receptionist never took any details from me but my birth year - how could she have confirmed patient details to send the text to? This is the same receptionist (who's voice I've unfortunately become familiar with) that I recall was equally short on another phone call regarding a different matter earlier in the year. July 20, 2022 - same manner, attitude; didn't display any reassurance that the clinic's issue can be resolved in time to facilitate the resolution, an issue that had a direct impact on my service of care; was rude in accusing me of "making it difficult" when there was, in fact, a solution to the problem (that I didn't know about) all along. Instead of communicating the option, she became agitated and impatient (showed in her tone and the accusation). Even though she actually called back with the solution that time, she is very unpleasant to interact with!

  7. Review titled Great improvement

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Tania Wessler - Posted on 06 September 2022

Admin staff in reception, not so helpful, struggle a little to get an appointment, but when I’m touch management, things went smoothly great , managed to get an appointment for my dad, get to realise that’s a massive improvement since new management took over, I’m totally pleased, keep up the good work.

  8. Review titled Automated

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Jess - Posted on 30 August 2022

This practice is providing poor care due to their over reliance on automated services. I asked for a consultation for headaches and a referral for an mri. I have been having reoccurring headaches since the pandemic. I was told I wasn’t entitled to referral for an mri. I experienced a severe migraine which meant I was unable to complete an exam. I was told I needed a letter from the GP in order to rearrange it. I asked for a GP letter through their app. I was told that I wasn’t entitled to a letter on the nhs and I had to pay £30 for one. I feel completely let down by the service and the stress that I am experiencing as a result of these encounters is now causing me to have another migraine.

  10. Review titled Truly awful practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 14 June 2022

This GPs surgery is truly awful - they used to be fairly good but have changed significantly over the last couple of years. While some clinicians are kind and respectful. Others have a horrible attitude towards patients including shouting and name calling. I've never experienced anything like this from medical professionals. Would not recommend.
