    I am actually relieved the practice is taking 5 weeks to register our family because its given me time to realise how appalling the service is. When I spoke to the receptionist to ask why it was taking so long for the registry and also I explained how anxious I felt there was no empathy or reassurance given that it'll get sorted. I have a baby turning 8 weeks and there seemed to be no urgency to get her in their system so she can have her first vaccination. When I asked is it usually this bad to get hold of someone on a daily basis I was told yes. For that reason I rather go elsewhere. The receptionist spoke over me and was very patronising. As a new mother with alot of worries for her child I was left feeling extremely anxious and stressed that I could not get something simple as this sorted. Should not be taking over a month to get registered.

    The reception staff, nurses and doctors at this surgery cannot be faulted. Unfortunately having needed their services for my children above average I have been extremely grateful .

    After 25 mins of being number one in the telephone queue (called at 17.02) hone eventually answered and when queried why the delay was advised there had been a lot of footfall. I explained I had a GP telephone appt 3 weeks ago and was told I would be contacted for a repeat blood test - 3 weeks later nothing. I asked was anyone going to bother contacting me and she said there is an outstanding request but covid is doing the rounds again and they are short staffed. She said she could do one for 24th Oct - another 11 days wait! I said to forget it as will get it done privately (having pre-op tests tomorrow which will likely include blood tests). I can see from other reviews this service is pretty par for the course and despite the compliance manager saying she will sort it nothing seems to change.

    An asthma review was booked for 13:30-14:30 on 22/09/22. A nurse practitioner was meant to call during this period. I made myself available and they finally called at 15:38 when I was back at work. Waste of time. How they can conduct an asthma review over the phone is beyond me anyway... No chest auscultation, no oxygen saturations, no peak flow, no inhaler technique assessment... Maybe this practice should go back to face to face appointments and run them to schedule.

    Shocking service - the quality of care was awful years ago however it has deteriorated even further resulting in harm which could have been avoided. This practice is unfit to serve the public anymore - staff are so impolite. I cannot imagine how vulnerable patients including the elderly are being treated by staff since complaints are never taken seriously. The practice needs to urgently develop a centralised hr system so that it provides clear and accurate information between staff for management purposes! I was delayed an urgent mental health appointment in December 2021 when I was at crisis point but this service is far worse at the time of writing this in August 2022.

    It depends who answers the phone and who has the most compassion for patients. Disgusting attitudes on the phone. You ask to speak to higher management and get told “I’m the only one here” Somthing needs to be done with how they speak to people and tell them 393726 different things. People get sick. They need help. And then you’ve got stinking attitudes from staff that work on a computer. I want to know how I go about complaining becouse this is constant.

    Well the answer is over half an hour without your call being answered. The only way to contact them is through their phone service they provide and clearly this is not being answered. Dreadful service.

    The new doctor in their practice has provided amazing care and attention towards my little boy who is suffering with his ears. Always happy to see him face to face and give the care he needs. Getting through and getting appointments can be a nightmare but this is the case in every doctors throughout the country.

    Got through to reception very quickly. Call answered by a very friendly receptionist. Appointment booked for following week with phlebotomist. Painless procedure, very professional and friendly. Happy with treatment.

    On Wed 05/2022 I phoned the surgery at about 5.20pm. Not surprisingly I was informed that there was queue of callers, but I could enter 1 and receive a call back. At about 5.30 there was a message on phone telling they had called but had no response from me. I seriously doubt this because my cell phone and house phone were both close at hand. So decided to call again and this time wait. I was caller number 8, it took about 45 minutes to get to caller No 1 and then another 45 minutes at caller no1, by which time was frustrated and angry and it was upsetting to my family that I gave up. There appears to be a big problem with the reception. In order to get this far with my comment, I had to state the date of my visit, but as you can see I did not make a visit at all

I would like to reassure you that the Call Back system does hold your position in the queue and will call you back when you are near the front of the queue, unfortunately if not answered it does take you out of the queue. I will share your feedback with the site manager at Yew Tree Surgery and also with the reception team. We are constantly reviewing our processes to ensure we are offering the best patient access and care, we will look into why the waiting times for the number one position are at 45 minutes.
