  1. Review titled Good practice

Rated 4 stars out of 5

Efficient organisation. Did not notice anything different about Covid procedure. Staff were very good and considerate with people who had mobility problems. With regard to Covid precautions, although I said I did not notice any difference, the last time I had the flue jab it seemed to be a strict timetable so that patients were not gathered together. In view of the suggestion that there could be an upsurge in infections this autumn, would it not have been appropriate to have kept the same system?

Good afternoon David Thank you for your feedback. Whilst we did work to the same appointments bookings as the past couple of years (giving everyone a set appointment time), it's difficult to ensure that patients only attend at the time of their appointment (and not to come too early/late) which can cause a little bit of a queue. We are very pleased to report that the day ran very smoothly with very little time spent queuing. Your review is very much appreciated as we always consider all feedback so that we can work on improving the clinics even further for next time. Best wishes Marie Wragg Practice Business Manager

Hello Andy Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry to hear that you've had difficulty getting through by phone to get an appointment. We know that our phone lines do get very busy in the morning as the need for appointments has grown incredibly over the past few years. This is a problem across the country as there is a national crisis where demand outweighs capacity in the NHS. I'd like to assure you that we are doing everything we can with the funding available to us. All patients have the option to be seen face to face or have a telephone consultation (if appropriate). Please do let my colleagues know which you would prefer next time you contact us for an appointment. You can also come into the surgery or book appointments online. Our data does show that we have provided 20,000 more appointments in the past year compared to 3 years ago (67% more appointments) but this is still not enough to meet the huge increase in patient demand. We wish we had the funding from NHS England/the Government to be able to provide even more. Best wishes Marie Wragg Business Practice Manager

  4. Review titled Good people

Rated 3 stars out of 5

Flu clinic organised very well. The throughput was swift. Why don't the NHS inoculation service liaise with the local GPs so that I am only called by the GP service and not both services? I had to go to the GP for flu and the NHS service for Covid booster. Both jabs could have been carried out at the GP clinic. Time and resource-wasting.

Would just like some service waiting for results on blood tests still after 12mths, never a call back when they say they are going to, trying to get to just talk to a Dr just a joke.

Dear Patient We are very sorry to hear that you haven't been able to contact the surgery. We do have certain times of day during which our phone lines are extremely busy - our lines are usually quieter late morning and late afternoon. You can also come into the surgery during our opening hours too to book an appointment to discuss any concerns if this is more convenient for you. Please rest assured that we contact all patients to discuss any adverse results. As your post is anonymous we won't be able to contact you unfortunately to book an appointment but please do try calling us again or popping in to see us. Best wishes Marie Wragg Practice Business Manager
