    My partner rang the doctors for a phone appointment regarding some concerns we have with our son. An appointment was made for the days time and when she eventually spoke with the doctor they just nothing sounded concerning basically ignoring every concern we say. I booked an appointment myself for another phone consultation and was supposed to be called by 6.30pm yesterday at the latest and still no phone call. I have attempted to contact the surgery but the waiting times are disgraceful. We are genuinely concerned about our child's well being and have contacted the hospital but we have to be referred from denton turret. The system is failing our little boy and nothing we can do about it. Deeply disappointing

    Tried on consecutive days to get to see a doctor. First day 20 minutes on hold to be told nothing available second day 25 minutes to be told only telephone consultation available which was pointless. Told to attend a walk in centre. What is the point of being registered here if you can't get face to face appointments This practice has never been the same since covid

    I’ve tried for 4 weeks to get an appointment at this practice only to sit in a queue for an hour on 3 occasions and be told no appointments left I have a social prescriber who had emailed requesting an appointment and after 11 days still nothing this is very bad I’ve been with this practice for 60 years and I think it’s probably time to look elsewhere

    Prescription review around New Year. Two items omitted on the 2 subsequent scripts and one dose completely wrong. Have now re dialled, having been on hold 41mins awaiting phone to be answered, including a period in the middle when the phone appeared to ring before I was yet again put in the queue. "Only" waited 12minutes this time around, but am not yet convinced that the issue has been rectified. The only advice I can give is not to update your prescription as they will repeatedly get it wrong.

    Have tried several mornings (between 8-9am) to get an appointment for the same day each time have had to let the call go, to go to work on hold for over 50mins each time

    Dear Patient I am sorry you have had such significant problems. Telephone calls exceeded a 1 hour wait time with 4 receptionists answering the telephones. 96 calls were answered in the first 30 minutes of being open today averaging 24 calls each in 30 minutes. The busiest time of day to call is between 08:00 and 08:30. We usually have online services active but due changing clinical system this week, we have had to turn off the online booing system You may find it helpful to try the e-consult option, on our website if you are struggling for time and that would get picked up by the team.     Called at 8am to book an appointment with a nurse, tried over 20 times, constantly engaged. Tried again 3.15pm (published hours are until 6pm on a Wednesday on the NHS website and google) recorded message saying surgery closed?! Last time I called in for an appointment for a blood pressure check, no appointments with a nurse for 2 weeks? and won't provide a repeat prescription for longterm meds without an appointment. Absolute joke of a place.

    Dear Patient, Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. I am sorry you have encountered these issues. I have immediately escalated this concern with our telephone suppler as nobody is supposed to get an engaged tone, all calls are supposed to enter our queue. The response I received was "Seems strange, the caller would almost always go into the call queue. I’ve asked Service to investigate. Do you know the number the patient dialled from?" I would like to be able to fully investigate your concern and therefore would appreciate if you could let the practice know the telephone number you called from by way of email to dentonturret.A86601@nhs.net. Our nursing team are extremely busy and it can take more than 2 weeks to get an appointment, however we have clinics open on Saturdays that always have slots for blood pressure checks so I am unsure why the team would not have booked you into one of these. Again, I can not investigate this further without your specific details. We also have a self service machine in the waiting room available during all opening hours on which patients can have their height, weight, blood pressure and pulse taken. Please feel free to come along and use this rather than wait for a nursing appointment. We were indeed closed yesterday due to staff training and again I have asked for confirmation from the telephone company which message was added to our call system as it should have stated the team were in training all afternoon which occurs approximately once per month. I would appreciate the opportunity to fully investigate your concerns if you were to be happy to approach the practice with your details. Thank you Sharon Russell Practice Manager

    I have received a letter and text reminding me to book my yearly review, i have been phoning the surgery every day for the last week and still can’t get through to make an appointment, I do not have the time to hang on for hours waiting for an answer as I work for a living i think the appointment system is a joke, it says the go is taking on new patients , this is a joke when the existing patients can’t get an appointment

In the last 10 working days alone our staff have answered 6110 telephone calls with the maximum wait time of 42 minutes. The average wait time was just under 2 minutes.     Rang 6 times from 10am to 11am regarding a appointment i had booked for that day. Placed in a queue and once it started ringing, rang for 6 minutes then disconnected. Repeated different times throughout the hour to only be hung up on or disconnected again. Previous day. Rang at 8am, on hold for 35 minutes to then be told there were no appointments.

    This GP practice has provided a range of amazing care for me when I contact on behalf of an elderly relative, from urgent care and responses to advice and support. Nothing is ever too much trouble for the receptionists, practice managers and GPs.

    I rang the surgery today and spoke to a receptionist on behalf of my 85year old father ,he had received a call to say his recent blood test needs repeating ,well he got himself into a terrible state so I spoke to a receptionist,wish I'd got her name because she was fantastic,she explained thoroughly why the test needs repeating,I am so grateful to her because my dad would've worried till next Thursday when his appointment is due .he suffers from anxiety and lately depression.thank you so much to this caring and understanding lady .also thank you to the doctor who requested the blood test ,I'm sure dad will get back to normal soon with the correct treatment.
