My appointment for a blood test was super-efficient. The attempt to make a follow-up telephone or face to face appointment was very frustrating. Nothing available for at least 2 weeks and not allowed to make an appointment for more than 2 weeks in advance, which means more frustration trying to phone each day.

Had a face to face appointment yesterday with the same highly experienced doctors. This is a great surgery, so glad we moved to here a few years ago.

I had a phone call appointment scheduled at the beginning of June which I unfortunately missed which was my fault. As per the voicemail I received I called back and was told the GP would call again which they did Approx 10 mins later. When I answered the call was completely silent and they terminated it about 10 seconds later. The voicemail I received that time said that I needed to rebook but they couldn’t call again today. When I called reception to rebook I was told I couldn’t get an appointment, face to face or even telephone, for another 3 weeks, despite the fact the voicemail left had said that my test results needed to be discussed with me which of course made me worry. So even though I had missed the initial phone call, who knows if the call would have even been successful. The appointment itself was absolutely fine and the doctor was lovely but I was seen 35 mins later that my scheduled appointment time so that whole time was spent getting progressively more anxious. When I spoke to reception about this wait after 30 mins (as advised by a sign in the waiting room) I was asked who I was being seen by - who knows who they’re seeing? As I didn’t know/couldn’t remember they then asked what it was for. Again, who on earth wants to broadcast what they’re at the doctor for to the entire waiting room, especially when it’s regarding a sensitive nature. I was told I was next but there was no “sorry about the wait” or empathy at all. This whole experience left a really sour taste in my mouth.

Recently moved house and needed to change gp surgery. Made an app about a small issue bothering me for some time but felt a little silly about it. Saw the loveliest gp who really took me seriously, without worrying me in the slightest. I only hope I get to have her again.

Despite some reviews, I called last Friday and managed to get an appointment within a few days face to face. I am not one for visiting doctors but do deal with doctors regularly for my father and have to say I have never had any issues once I have explained what I needed. The wait for bloods can be lengthy but I opt for hospital, which you can generally get same day or within a day ot two. Appreciate not ideal for those who dont have transport, but for those that can, it's much quicker. Good experience overall.

Have been told to see my doctor to obtain a referral to the local ENT, regarding painful hearing loss, and can only get a phone call from a doctor in over two weeks time! What a great NHS we have !

We offer on-the-day Duty Doctor appointments for patients with an acute medical concern to discuss this problem. These appointments are available every day.
