I made the appointment to have scale and polish and paid 25.80 and was told by the dentist I don’t need cleaning. I feel like I paid for nothing

Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback. We would like to apologise if you feel you paid for nothing. The fee you describe is the NHS band 1 fee which includes your dental examination necessary to ensure that your oral health is checked by a dentist to help detect any problems early on. Your dentist would have provided a scale and polish had they deemed this clinically necessary. My teeth was cleaned well. I was very happy with his efficiently the hygienist removed the tartar. There was some excessive build-up as well. I'm glad it was removed.

Dentist and her assistant were very polite, and warm welcome and look after me very well. We appreciate their service. They call me in time no waiting .The job was done well and proscribed medicine what ever I need .

The dental staff are so nice and always reassuring - thats what you need as majority of us don’t like dentists. This is the first dental practice I don’t feel anxious about visiting. I would definitely recommend this practice to friends and family.

I had a problem with my dentures. The dentist kindly put some denture tape on after giving me a check up and I also had two x rays. The service that I received was very kind and totally professional.

I have been with this practice for several years since I moved to Ilford and have always found them very good from the receptionists, who are very helpful, to the dentists who have treated me. I have never had to wait more than 10 mins to be seen but my pet hate is turning up for an appointment on time to find that the person I have the appointment with is “running late”! I would have no hesitation in recommending Whitestar to anyone looking for a new dentist.

Staff are professional and pleasant. Treated with respect and dignity. The dentist was good and compassionate. Procedure was well explained to me and gave good advice on my care.

Have been a patient here for many years. Have seen the same Dentist always which I like. Recently needed urgent treatment followed by an extraction. All done very quickly.

I've been with this practise (and the same dentist) for over 15 years. I travel over 60 miles to them, and would not consider changing my dentist. Most recent experience was immediately identifying the problem and taking remedial action with (as usual) great skill.
