  2. Review titled Fantastic Dental Surgery

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Had very bad tooth ache last week. Phoned Well Dental and was given an appointment for 1230pm that same day. I've always found the staff from the receptionist to the dentists and nurses so helpful and caring. Would highly recommend them.

  3. Review titled Appointment Cancelled Without Informing

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 25 January 2023

My 7-year old son last visited the practice in August/ September 2022, here he was told he had an abnormality with one of his teeth that would need to be monitored and may need treatment - a check up was booked for a few months later. He was upset and anxious about this and has been for the last few months. We have been reassuring him that at the check-up the dentist will be able to tell him what the situation is and make it better if necessary. The automated system sent a form for us to fill in a couple of weeks before the appointment which we did. However, when ringing to enquire about the time of the appointment we were informed it had been cancelled due to the original dentist leaving and to ring in 3 months time to see if we could then book an appointment and so potentially he will be seen sometime this year. How do I explain this to him that the dentist no longer wants to help him?! And if the next appointment is too late for the tooth to be treated?

The staff are always very friendly and professional. They help to keep me calm during my dental appointments, as I'm a nervous patient. I would not hesitate to recommend this practice.

  5. Review titled No NHS checks ups for years

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 04 June 2023

I had an NHS appointment in May 2021 cancelled due to a dentist leaving. I’ve phoned every year / 6 months since- they always say the are struggling to recruit new NHS dentist & offer £80 private check ups. No vacancies on their website & they’re accepting new (private) patients. Obviously trying to push away NHS registered patients.

Dear Patient Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry for any inconvenience caused. Unfortunately, as this practice is already at maximum capacity for NHS patients, they are currently unable to offer you an NHS place. In some practices where we have no NHS appointment capacity, we do have alternative private options for patients to access dentistry, outside of the practices NHS contractual obligations. We will always offer patients this option as an alternative, so our patients can make an informed choice on their dental care. Kind Regards Julie Wood - {my}dentist Patient Services Team Leader
