I am extremely nervous at the dentists however I must say the two lovely receptionists were so friendly and helpful they put me at ease straight away and the dentists that I saw were fantastic.They also made me feel calm I would recommend this dentist .

Great service seen quickly & dentist explained process Al the way. Very satisfied with service & visit. Dental practice recommended by my neighbour who works for the NHS.

Recently I went as a filling was removed from my tooth. I experienced rudeness from the receptionist when I called to book an appointment. On the day of the appointment the dentist was really aggressive in her answers to me and she wanted to extract my tooth as it couldn't be saved (but it survived a filling for ten years). When I asked her to put a filling even a temporary one, she refused. I asked her to do a service that I paid and she refused!!! Then she wanted me to do a deep cleaning for £80 and I refused stating that it is included in the band 1 payment I have paid. Her treatment in total was for less than 10 minutes. Very disappointing service from everyone in the dental care.

Honestly, having been with this practice for over a decade now, I genuinely cannot believe how this one receptionist here has not only kept her job all this time but has been promoted, multiple times. She wins the trophy for most aggressive and genuinely threatening receptionist i have ever seen. The way she talks to people is simply unacceptable in modern society let alone at a medical institution of this size. She is so unprofessional I can't find the words to describe her. The rest of the saff are exemplary but this one girl is on a mission to bring down this place. I am sure the practice is aware of this because its so obvious. Probably keeping her as the NHS are so weak to discipline anyone really. Due to her Ive left this surgery now and chosen to go private where I am not treated like a piece of dirt. You call trying to book an appointment and she makes you feel like you are about to ask for time with the King of England's and very uncurteously so. And then if you take more than 2 or 3 seconds to think, because the appointments are always two months from now, she tells you to make up your mind or hold (which can be around another 20 mns after having waited 30 mins already). It's hilarious and sad. I feel sad for the elderly who can't even process this kind of speed even if they wanted. Real shame the service is so poor.

I am a support worker and called on behalf of a vulnerable client. The receptionist was extremely rude in regards to my client having missed a couple of appointments, she said that my client has 'wasted our time'. This is extremely rude and unnecessary and did not consider why someone may have missed appointments. Really disappointed in the service and lack of awareness to people's vulnerabilities.

They were very kind, patient, and professional with me. I hadn't been to the dentist in many years and they didn't make me feel ashamed at all but were very welcoming and lovely.

Review titled the awful reception's staff attitude

I am writing to complain about the reception’s staff attitude. I came in this morning, the ladies in the reception were very rude. They Kept cutting me off while speaking . Their tone was very insolent. They were talking about me so when I thought that she was talking with me I naturally responded she said abruptly: “ we are not talking to you thank you”. Another time she was talking about me I tried to explain to her why I’m seeing another dentist the other lady said again: “ we are not talking to you “ curtly. It looked like they were in a confrontation, fighting with me. I’ve been in this surgery for more than 10 years, the reception lady before was extremely nice but these news ladies are extremely disrespectful. This is not the first incident with them whether on the phone or in the surgery and this is why I’m writing this review because this decline in the reception staff pushes me to change surgery. I just want to clarify that I didn’t responded to their aggression neither responded to them in their tone.

Waited 50 minutes to see dentist and clean son’s teeth, as explained on the phone and as he has done before, then dentist looked at his teeth for 2 minutes and said any teeth cleaning is done at dentist’s discretion and he didn’t want to do it. He just said reception shouldn’t have told me they could clean my son’s teeth, and reception just shrugged their shoulders, all while my son was crying (going to the dentist is a big deal, we prepare intensively for it, and changes of plans are also hard to deal with).

Dear Patient, I am sorry to hear that you were dissatisfied with our service. At Torrance Dental Care we take all complaints very seriously and appreciate any patient feedback towards are service. We are a contract provider of NHS Dental Care, and our aim is to provide an excellent Dental service and a good customer patient care and I apologise if you felt that we have let you down. Firstly, I would like to apologise as you were kept waiting for so long to be seen for your appointment. The practice was inundated with emergency appointments on the day, this meant that patients with booked appointments were held up. We should have kept you informed of the delays and how long it would take for your children to be seen. The practice is now aware that a member of your children has autism, and we appreciate that you have taken the time to write in on how you felt you was treated. I have spoken to the Dentist who treated your children. The Dentist felt that your children’s teeth was in a good healthy state and did not warrant a scale & polish service. We have now taken on a Pediatric Dentist, who will be more suitable to see your children when their next appointments are due. I have taken all points that you have raised in your review, and we will be using some of these points in our staff meeting: Focusing on Patients Service, to improve are patient service. Been coming to this practice for over 30years very good service on a few occasions had to go for emergency treatment might of had to wait but always been taken care of I recommend this dental practice
