My daughter was in extreme pain with an exposed nerve. I’ve rang Atleast 10 dentists no such luck. Gave up and called 111 they were fab. Got an emergency appointment in the afternoon at Tenbury dental centre. Dentist temporarily filled my 13year pods tooth. Went to reception to sign last paperwork and was informed by the receptionist who looked somewhat embarrassed that there is a charge and it’s £75!! I was utterly shocked £75 for a 13 year old is absolutely disgusting. I had no choice she’s been in pain and I simply tried everything to get an appointment. How can this practice justify charging that amount for a child. Dentist that saw my daughter was quite rude in his mannerism and asked if I’d stop trying to calm my daughter as she’s afraid of needles. Which she had to have to numb the tooth. Overall experience was horrible. I felt like a terrible mother allowing my daughter to have toothache and then having to pay £75 really made me feel awful. Everyone’s feeling the squeeze and I know prices have gone up but she’s 13 I think it’s very unacceptable
