  1. Review titled Poor Service

I called to make an emergency appointment but was offered 27th June - 6 weeks and told I was no longer NHS and had to pay. Then had letters to say the appointments my sons had were cancelled and young lads no longer on NHS. How can they treat people like this?

  2. Review titled Awful!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I have been an NHS patient of theirs for almost 5 years. I’ve never been that impressed but when you can only afford an NHS dentist there’s not a lot to choose from. Recently I had a tooth break which was extremely painful. I called a couple of times to be told there was a waiting list for appointments. The third time I called I was told they are no longer treating NHS patients. No warning and no notification. They could see me privately at the end of June. Upon scouring the internet the nearest NHS dentist I could find was in Birmingham. Absolutely shocking. Fine if you’re rich though.

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry for any inconvenience caused in relation to your treating dentist no longer providing NHS treatment. Your dentist has taken the decision to no longer offer dental services on the NHS. Where routine NHS provision is not currently available, your practice will be able to offer alternative private options. We hope that these alternatives will allow you to access dental care at this time. Please contact the practice should you require more information, so they can discuss with you your needs. Kind regards, {my}dentist Patient Support Team

  3. Review titled My Son was struck off for not attending

Rated 1 star out of 5

by michael Hampson - Posted on 23 February 2023

Similar to the other review on here. My Son had not attended for several years and was struck off from the NHS dentist. No warning or notice given by the practice. Searching NHS website for an alternative dentist they are all the same. None are taking on NHS patients and no option but to pay for a service that should be provided through the NHS. I'll be deducting any costs from my next Tax return.. It's a disgrace that children can't get Dental care anymore.

Dear Michael Hampson,, We are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with our practice. Due to our current NHS appointment available we are unfortunately not able to offer appointments to everyone who contacts the practice, and this can include patients who have previously attended. We are only able to offer appointments subject to capacity. I am sorry that we have been unable to assist you at this time. Kind regards Julie Wood - {my}dentist Patient Services Team Leader

  4. Review titled Kicked off the NHS list

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 21 January 2023

I called in to make an NHS appointment for my now disabled adult daughter, to be told she had been removed from their list as she had not visited for 3 years. I pointed out that we had had 2 years of covid and therefore no visits as she was vulnerable, and that 2 months ago she suffered a severe stroke and was only now sufficiently mobile to visit. This was dismissed and I was told effectively that extenuating circumstances were never taken into consideration as they had so many on their books. I consider this disgraceful and will now have to find a private practice, which she can ill afford.

  5. Review titled Friendly dentist

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Elizabeth Smith - Posted on 25 January 2023

The kindness and humour of our dentist makes our visits relaxed and comfortable. I have attended with my 3 children for 7 years and also my elderly mother received treatment here. I have always been happy with the care we have received.

  7. Review titled No longer doing any NHS work

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Jim Strange - Posted on 30 May 2023

The title says it all. This dentist is good, but they're no longer doing any NHS work. My appointment has been cancelled and they're asking me to pay for private treatment instead. So the dentist should not appear on the NHS website anymore.
