  2. Review titled Great dental treatment, bad practice and ethics

The dentist's themselves can't be faulted for their dental treatment. But as a practice they are no longer guaranteeing appointments even for children on the NHS and blaming the NHS directly. I don't care who's fault it is. That's for healthcare professionals with a duty of care, to resolve as quickly as possible. I understand the receptionist team must have to hear concerned patients and parents of patients all the time and it must be draining but their attitude isn't one of care, concern and empathy for lifelong patients. It's one of making worried patients feel like they are nothing but a problem and blaming the NHS. The entire system is very broken and I'm extremely worried about it on behalf of everyone. I hope that my children will still have dental treatment available to them soon at this practice.

Dear Patient, thank you for leaving this review. We fully understand your frustration and share the same concerns as we can no longer see the volume of patients that we have in previous years. You comment that the system is broken and driving many dentists out of the NHS care system. There is much publicity about the crisis in NHS dentistry nationwide but the power to improve this system is beyond our control however we continue to work hard. We can apologise that you found our receptionists attitude to be lacking of care, concern and empathy. They also share frustrations that they cannot do more that they already are to help, but that should not come across to our patients. We will share your concerns with them. We will still be able to offer dental care to your children. Please ring closer to the time when their next check up is due for more information. Some of our dentists now only operate outside of the NHS offering private or Practice Plan patients only. This means there is less capacity and huge demand for NHS care but we are continuing to see as many NHS patients as possible. Please call reception of you would like to go on our waiting list. We look forward to seeing you as soon as possible. Thank you. M. Cross. Patient Manager.
